The Archivers.

Jonis -

today is the day. the first day at my new job as one of the archivers, two woman and two men were chosen to travel with the Soliders of Solis through the portals to start the rewrite of the archives, I haven't met the others yet who i will spend my time here with, one of the soldiers led me down the hall way towards a very loud room i started to get nervous, i walked through the main doors and into the a hall full of people, I looked around triyng to see if i knew anyone, wondering if anyone from my city was here. i remember a guy a couple years older then me was chosen as one of Solis Soldiers a couple years back, we haven't heard from him since but i imagine he is ok. the thing with being chosen by the Council is that once you  leave your home, you never go back again, your always so busy you just don't have time.

I spotted a boy walking from person to person, he was asking people the same question "Jonis?, is your name Jonis?" some people just looked at him, some people ignored him flat out, he made eye contact with me and must of realised that i was the only person he hadn't asked.  he started walking towards me, he was around my age, i observed him as he walked over, he was a little bit taller than me, but he was my complete opposite, he had blonde hair that was short, whereas my hair was black and long, to my shoulders.

"is your name Jonis?", he asked me, "yes, its nice to meet you." i raised my eyebrows asking silently from his name and extending my arm, "I'm Mikah" he said we shook hands and he looked around the room cautiously. "there's a lot of people here, i didn't expect there to be so many people", he fixed his attention back to me, "are you nervous?," before i had the chance to answer he said, "because i bloody am" i laughed at that, at least he had a bit of sense of humour, " Come with me, i'll introduce you to the others." he grabbed my arm and pulled me over to the corner where two girls stood.

I studied the girls as i walked over, they were both the same height, both had shouder length hair, one had golden the other had brown, no not brown, it was more of a copper colour, as we got closer i realised they were sisters, indentical twins. "Hello" they both said at exactly the same time. they both started giggling and when one went to speak the other spoke over her, it was a back and forth things, "im speaking first", "but I started first" I interupted them..."hello, its nice to meet you both, I'm Jonis.", i gave them a friendly smile. the girl on the lefts eyes widened, she quickly jumped in front of her sister blocking me from her view "its nice to meet you, I'm Elisia" she had gold hair, she extended her arm to shake my hand, up close i looked at her eyes. Blue, eyes the colour of the sky. i gave her a charming smile and she blushed. her sister was trying to get around her, but Elisia was pushing her back, her sister then whispered into her ear, "he's even cuter up close" I smirked. "and I'm Bea" Bea managed to get around Elisia and she pushed Elisia away from me and grabbed my hand and started giggling, "its nice to meet you too". Bea had green eyes but I continued to stare, they also had blue like the sea, Elisia frowned at Bea as the attention moved from her to her sister and decided to speak to Mikah instead.

A couple minutes later a man came in dressed in the purple uniform of Solis. the cresent on his chest was a gold diamond on a purple background. "hello everyone, the people in this room are the people that you will be with for the rest of your lives." he paused and let people look around the room, taking in everyone. "your task is to go through the Solis Stone portals and see what worlds are safe and which ones are dangerous. there are four Archivers among us, they will be with you but they have no military training. but they are very intelligent, we selected only the best to accompany you soldiers on this mission, you have a two days until we open the portal" people started to whisper, some with excitment, some with nervousness. "if the archivers will come forward." we shuffled forward and stood in front of the crowd where all eyes were on us. "this is Jonis, Mikah, Elisia and Bea, you will be with Group F" he pointed at one of the group on the right, General Kanan, was there among the group, i reckonise him anywhere, he was 200 years old and he was something of a legend in my city, he had no expression on his face. "Group F is in the front line." i felt my eyes widen, the front line. i glanced at Mikah, he looked as white a sheet and the girls who were previously giggling were quiet.

Group F was made up of eight people, General Kanan, stood tall and proud in the middle. there were five men and two women beside him, General Kanan stepped forward to speak, "welcome to our group, i will leave you to get aquainted with eachother in a moment, i am General Kanan, although you have no military training we will over the next two days try to teach you at least the basics, just incase somebody gets separated from the group while we are through the portal, you will only see us for the weeks we are through the portal when we return with information from the first world, you will not see us for the next six month we have other responsibilities, we are part of the main Solis army, we were chosen because we are the best of the best." i swallowed hard trying to show how intimidated i was of the male fae in front of me, he must have a strong power if he is a general. probably Fire or maybe he was shifter, its an insult to ask a fae male what power they possess. if he wanted you to know he would tell you, or you would find out just before he killed you. "We will regroup tomorrow and start your training, as for now, get to know each other and then get some rest, tomorrow is going to be a long day." And with that general Kanan left the hall.
