Obscurity crept inside two irretrievable souls,

She was his moonlight in the somber night sky

He was her drizzle after years of withdrawal

From the diligent streets of London started the tragic enchantment of love and pain

Injecting misery and destruction in the pretentious form of affection

They became each other’s safe haven from the sadistic world

Living and breathing in each other’s company with the sound of blood gushing through their veins

Remembering the cheap motel sheets and the brisk cold water

What was sanity?

That overwhelming fear drowned the sorrow

Lingering feeling of the drug kept us awake in the cloudy midst of January

Her delicate touch made my trivial existence matter

Sleeping beside me her delicacy seemed surreal

She was my pain but she was also my cure

Her inflection was running in my veins

I loved her from every inch of my aching soul

I knew she was in affliction,

Her eyes carried that anguish and despair

I just want to redeem her

Why do I feel so empty?

Blood’s dripping down my fingertips,

 I need her upholding me

The cacophony of the blood stained blade on the ice-cold linoleum

Silence crept to every rim,

All that was heard was the resonate of destruction and torment

She looked angelic even in demise

She is set free from this ruthless realm of heartache

I saved her.
