I woke to Dean carrying me, then laying me down on a bed. Blankets? I sat up. "Nice one, Sammy." Dean spoke, mock anger obvious in his voice. "Look behind you." Sam responded, Dean looked over his shoulder and jumped. "Cas! How many times do I have to tell you to get out of my ass?!" He hissed. (I have seen that episode, and that was my favorite part.) I didn't laugh like Sam did, instead I leapt up, and ran to Cas. "What is this thing Lucifer gave me, and why does it make my rune glow when I try to touch it?! And why was Lucifer staring at me like a Weirdo?! What the hell am I?! What the fuck is wrong with this family?! And.... and..." I trailed, bursting into tears, both my idiot brothers made a move to comfort me, but Sam grabbed onto me before Dean could. "AND WOULD YOU TWO STOP PLAYING THE 'WHO'S THE FAVORITE BROTHER?' GAME?!" I screamed, shoving Sam off, and clinging to Cas. He only stroked my hair awkwardly. "Are you sure she's ready to be a huntress?" He asked slowly. "Yes, we are," Dean spoke calmly, "We knew it wouldn't be easy, she has a panic disorder."

After managing to calm me some, Cas said, "I'll explain everything." Suddenly we were in an open, abandoned field, I could just barley make out a lake in the back ground. Cas gently untangled himself form my sniffling form. "Now," He instructed, "grab the crystal." I did as I was told, and my hand gently grasped the pendant, my rune begun to glow once again, and once again, I hastily moved my hand away. "Don't be afraid," he murmured, "This first part won't hurt, this part is just showing your true form. Grab the crystal." I once more grasped the stupid gem, and my rune begun to glow again, my hand tensed, but I didn't move it. The glow got brighter, "Don't be afraid," Cas made his presence known once more, "This is going better than I thought." The glow got to the brightest it seemed it would. "Now," Cas said, "Close your eyes." I looked to Sam and Dean, they looked as nervous as I did, but nodded. Once my eyes fluttered close, I felt a pair of hands come to rest on my shoulders, "It's just me," Cas mumbled, "I have to transfer some thoughts into your head, for this to work, you have to have the mindset of an angel." After a couple of minutes of silence, he spoke again, "You're way too tense, calm down, I won't let any thing happen to you. You're brothers will kill me, angel or not."

I took a few deep breathes, then calmed. All of a sudden I felt a surge of power. "Protect them." I heard an unfamiliar voice utter softly, "You have the powers of a holy body. You must utilized those powers to protect the ones you love, and punish those who will try to bring them harm. Protect the innocent, and the weak. Believers and non believers, that is what you must do, you were born with an amazing strength, a strong will, and a high level of maturity, that you gained at a very young age. Take those traits, those are the gifts that I have given you, so you may fight. Go out there, and fight." "OH MY GOD!" Dean screamed. "Cas! What happened?!" Sam shot. I opened my eyes, I didn't feel any different. "Patricia, look here!" Dean demanded. I answered his request, and turned. He snapped a picture on his cell phone, then shown it to me.

My medium length, choppy dark brown hair evened out, and turned into a vibrant red. My eyes turned from a light brown, to a midnight blue color, and were softly glowing. My glasses were gone, but I could see perfectly fine. My side bang was also gone, replaced by neatly trimmed bangs that covered my forehead. My clothes were different too, a black and white, almost Victorian style gown, not only do I hate dresses, but this one was ridiculous, no sleeves, or any kind of strap to hold it up? Large black wings extended from my back, wait... WHAT?! I reached behind myself only to feel soft feathers under my finger tips. "Cas...?!" I whipped around, but he was gone. "SAM! DEAN! WHAT AM I?! WHAT IS THIS?! WHERE IS CAS?!" I suddenly calmed. The boys looked at me strangely, but before either one of them could say a word, Cas returned. "Patricia Winchester," he presented a sword, "Welcome to the fight, you can still stay with your brothers, but you have the blood of angels." He handed me the sword, "Your sword."

I grasped the sword, looked at Cas, then Sam and Dean. I don't know why I did what I did next, but I did. I spread my wings, and leapt into the sky, flying as fast, and far as I could, "I will NOT let them see me break again! Cas already thinks I'm not ready for this! I have to get away from them for awhile!" I thought. I found a large rock in the lake, "Good," I thought, "A dry place where they can't get me." I landed gently, and stretched my aching wings, flying like that so soon after my wings sprouted was not a good idea. Using both hands, in a fit of rage, I slammed the end of my sword into the rock, it sunk down like a heated knife into butter. I knelt down, still gripping the hilt of my sword, rest my head against my hands, and cried. "Mom," I thought, "What did you do? Why do I have an angel's blood? How did I get it?.... Should I just go back to Uncle Bobby and pretend this never happened? Do I go back to Sam, and Dean? Or do I just keep running, and never look back? Mom, why did you and Dad have to go? Mom, Dad what do you think I should do?" Without looking up, I could hear three distant voices beckoning to me, and I made my choice.
