Prologue

Hi, my name is Carrie Brant. I'm fourteen and the dork of my school. The only one who loves me for the nerd I am is my boyfriend and my BFF. Surpisingly he's not a nerdy, dorky guy. He's one of the cooler kids. But has gone down in ranks after claiming he was my boyfriend. But we didn't mind, still don't. At least, I didn't. Until yesterday.

I'd walked into school wearing my new bright green outfit. Worst. Mistake. Ever.

Everyone stared and snickered, and I could just hear their snotty voices, "Oh my god, what is she wearing?"

"Did her cat throw up all over her?"

"That is like totally an ugly mess, why did she even bother to show her face here in that?"

I didn't know, it was me and no one had ever really bothered me about my clothes. Except for "MissPopular," she acted like she owned the place. In a way she did, she was the teacher's pet. They didn't know what a stuck up brat she was. Only the smart ones. Like me and Brandon Copperfield, my boyfriend. And my BFF Tiff.

She'd walked over to me, flanked by her two friends. Her real name was Kelly Underwood. She had blonde hair, blue eyes and a perfect tan. Perfect skin and perfect teeth. All the boys wanted her.

Her two friends, Chriss and Julia Miers, the twins, had matching brown hair and green eyes. The only way to tell them apart was that Julia had cut her hair super short. Chriss let her's flow behind her. Everyone said she was one of the hottest girls at school besides Kelly. I beg to differ.

 So yesterday she stopped in front of me, her arms crossed across her chest, a smirk on her face that only she could pull off. The twins certaintly tried.

"So, miss wannabe actually showed up today!," she chirped with fake cheerfulness, "And what a, uh, lovely outfit! It's just so, my-five-year-old-sister dressed me!" The twins nodded in agreement.

The rest of the day just went downhill from there. So today, Saturday, I'm working on something big. It's time to step up and face the music. It's time to become the hottie everyone wants me to be.
