I woke up at 3:58 today and I lay on the ground for 2 minutes and then started to get dressed, once it turned 5:01 I left my house.
It wasn't a very cold morning unlike back at home, which was always freezing as the doctors would keep it cold, so I got used to it. I used to live in a laboratory where crazy people and sometimes even Ghouls were kept. My mama had given birth to me there and I had grown up being in a very harsh environment, which most would never be able to cope with. I had escaped again, but I have to visit my mom every year and play against someone and win, so she can get money for alcohol. If I miss behaved then I would be punished, but if I was good my mom would only cut something off or inject me with drugs. That's why I'm different from most my age... I was born to kill.
I reached the café by 5:48 and so I sat waiting for Toka or someone to show up.
At exactly 6:33, the boy with an eyepatch, who I found out yesterday was Kaneki, appeared at the door.
"H-hi. Um.. Do you want to follow me inside, and.. see which job you prefer in the café?" He fumbled for a pair of keys as he spoke.
Once he unlocked the door, I stood up. He gestured me to walk inside, with his hand. I nodded and strode inside and sat onto the bar table, while observing a desert menu.
"So." Kaneki said while hanging his coat and bag onto a piece of wood sticking out if the wall, (Which I found odd as there was a line of the sticking-out wood, where are I assumed you would hang your coats and bags, if I ever had any).
"What are you good at? Or.. what were you thinking of working as in the café? I mean like a chef or a waiter or a cleaner or a-"
I laughed, which echoed through the silent café. Kaneki turned to me innocently and looked confused.
"Any job you think I would be good at?" I said after jumping down and walking up to him, so we were an inch apart. I was taller than him by a couple inches, so I had to bend down to his height. The look on his little scared and confused face made me grin. He was so innocent and naivé. I found it amusing.
"I.. Um.. I-I don't know.. M-maybe uh-" He stuttered as he spoke, trying to find the right words.
"Maybe.. I should start as a waiter and go from there?" I asked innocently, smiling gently.
He nodded, with a slightly blush which I noticed, and I stepped back.
As I did, the bell above the door jingled and the door opened, revealing Toka, Roma and, who Toka called Shithead, who's birth name I believed was actually Nishiki. I smiled as they walked into the room, and I noticed that the time was now 6:49.
"Goodmorning Toka, Roma and Nishiki. How are you?" I smiled gently.
"Goodmornig Suzuya. I very good, thank you." Toka said confidently, returning the smile.
"M-morning. S-s-suz Suzina?" Roma asked, unable to pronounce my name.
"Juuzzou." I said calmly.
"J-juuzzou." Roma said smiling with her accomplishment.
"Hi. I'm good, but how did you know my name?" Nishiki asked putting on an apron, sounding slightly pissed.
Toka gave him a slight, death-stare, and I shrugged.
"I heard your name mentioned by Roma yesterday, when she came to Toka for protection after she apparently broke another cup." I said sounding completely calm and relaxed.
"Although, I know Toka calls you by another name. Would you prefer me call you Shithead?" I asked soundly confused and innocent, and I tilt my head a little too.
Nishiki looked shocked and then annoyed and then angry.
"No. My real name is fine." He spoke through grit teeth and walked off, setting the chairs and tables up.
I turned back and noticed Roma and Toka in the same uniform as Kaneki, and Toka had one extended towards me to take. I took the green apron and I put it over my head, tying it behind me. Kaneki came to me with a clean, empty name tag and then wrote onto it, using a thick, black pen. After he finished scribbling letters onto it, he attached the tag onto my new uniform. I looked down and saw, neatly written,
'Suzuya Juuzzou'
I grinned, I had a new start, a job, and maybe even some possible friends.
Toka walked to Kaneki, who was behind the bar table and smiled, handing me a notepad a pen.
"Welcome to the Anteiku café."

I hope you like the new chapter. I apologise for not updating sooner, I've been really busy lately. Please real free to comment any ideas. I'm not sure who Suzuya should met and end-up with. Toka? Kaneki? Uta? Or a new made-up character?

Love ya,
A.K
