I walked into school unaware of what was to be my fate. I'd actually forgotten that I ditched Parker. What a rookie mistake. Before my fifth step inside the school grounds, I was immediately blocked by none other than Mr. Jerkface himself. "Well, well," he said. "Nice seeing you here, Woods. Didn't think you'd show up after ditching me with all the work yesterday. I'm surprised, really."
"I- uh-" I struggled to look for an excuse. It was a good thing he didn't have anybody else with him, nor was anyone looking — I was thankful for that. "Oh c'mon, Woods," he smirked. "I'm sure you'd love to help me check all those papers, right?" A tone of threat lined his words. There is no way in hell am I helping Mr. Jerkface check those papers!
Parker chuckled slightly. "What did you call me?" Oh my god. I said that out loud! Oh my god I am so dead. "Mr. Jerkface?" He smirked again, ah that awfully sexy smirk that would've made me faint if I was a normal girl. "You're getting it now, Woods," he said, his voice husky and low.
And I took off. I ran and ran to wherever, nowhere in particular. I looked left, I looked right, searching for a place to take cover. The bathroom! Perfect! I ran straight to the nearest bathroom. I took a deep breath, calming myself. "Woods! I know you're in there! You've got to come out eventually, Woods. And when you do, Mr. Jerkface will be waiting for you!"
And so I waited it out. At least, until the first bell rang. Ugh. I'd have to go out there and get to class. I took a deep breath. Okay. Plan of action: 1. Burst through the doors. 2. Run like the wind. 3. Safely get to class. Seems foolproof, I thought.
Here goes... 1... 2... 3... BAM! I burst through the doors. But not even 5 seconds after doing so, I was captured by Mr. Jerkface. His arms were wrapped around my waist. With his height at 6'2" and mine at 5'4", I was shorter than him by around half a foot; and with his built physique, I was lifted from the ground. I was trapped. Damn it, Aly, you couldn't even get to class now!
I struggled and thrashed around, in hopes of at least distracting him a bit to loosen his grip. "Let! Me! Go! You! Jerk!" I yelled. People were walking by to their classes, none of them paying us a bit of attention. Some glances and glares, actually. Mostly by girls. Great, now they all hate me. I rolled my eyes. It's all his fault!
"Absolutely not, Ms. I-want-to-escape-detention-work! You are going to help me check those papers whether you like it or not!" He growled. I sighed and stopped thrashing around. "If I agree to check those papers, will you just let me go to class?" I glared at him, making sure the fury was evident in my eyes. Thankfully, I was used to giving that look to people.
He smirked. His evil smirk. His eyes twinkled mischievously. Uh-oh. "Yes, on another condition."
I scowled at him. "Which is?" I could feel a pit in my stomach forming, my stomach in knots.
"We have to check the papers together." Ah yes, a dream come true. Checking papers that Miss Adams was too lazy to check with Alex Parker, Mr. Jerkface. Great.

"Woods," he greeted- no, more like, just acknowledged my presence. His hand ran through his dark hair with an indifferent expression. His cheekbones were well-defined, especially in the lighting. His silvery-blue eyes, looking directly at me unblinkingly, held a feeling I couldn't quite decipher. It seems like indifference, but mixed with curiosity. Is that even possible? His hands were in his pants pockets. He seems like the typical bad-boy type. I didn't even realize he was snapping his fingers in front of my face.
"Woods!"
"AH- what?" He smirked. "Too busy checking me out, Woods?" He teased, lowering his head so that we were level. "No, just amazed at how girls actually fall for this sorry excuse of a guy," I smiled sweetly. His smirk disappeared, replaced by a frown. "You are the death of me, Woods," he feigned hurt, his hand clutching his chest. "I'd be honored to write on your tomb: 'Cause of death: Aly Woods'" I said. "Let's just go; we're wasting time, Woods. I don't want to have to spend the night at your place," he said, winking.
