  Felicia's P.O.V

It may have been cliche but I showed her where all of my favorite places were, where she might run errands for nonna (it doesn't matter if Monika is a guest, she's already family, and family means more helping hands), and landmarks. I took her to the Colosseum, in and out. The ancient artifact amused her and we took some pictures to remember the moment.

After showing her around, I took her to meet a few family friends and school friends. They all knew I was bisexual so they were more than elated to meet Monika and get to know her in the short span that we stuck around.

After the long night of running from one side of Rome to the other, we came to a beautiful bridge. Monika took my hand and we crossed it as I pointed fish that swam in the waters below.

"Maybe, there are alligators, or crocodiles, waiting to eat someone that unsuspectingly takes a dip... Like you!" And just like that, Monika threw me over her shoulder running to the edge, pretending to hoist me over and into the fringed cold water. I burst out laughing as she set me back down, laughing loudly and mocking my horrified expressions from just moments before, her arms wrapped comfortingly around me.

"That was a dirty move! Just like you!" I stick my tongue out and cross my eyes, shaking my head softly as I pull another funky face.

"Oooooh, okay, I see how you are!" She mocked in a high pitched voice, her hand over her heart as she forged sadness.

"Wow, dramatic much, love?" I giggled, kissing her cheek sweetly.

"But not as dramatic as you!" She proclaims suddenly, dropping the act and charging at me. I scream in fake horror and run away, well, to the best of my abilities. I made it to the end of the bridge, adrenaline fueling me, a smile painted permanently from the joy and excitement of simply being around Monika.

I continued to stumble away, until we came across the church. It was grand and magnificent but I had been attempting to avoid it, due to the very fact that despite being Catholic, I'm shunned for being Homosexual. Charging in front of the epic water fountain that could've taken the space of a park, Monika suddenly catches up. My legs fly out from under me as we stopped mid center of the church, Monika carrying me bridal style, smiling down at me as if I was everything she'd ever need.

"Caught you," she whispered, planting a kiss firmly on my lips. Right, smack-dab, in front of the church. The kiss was soft and gentle, we pulled back and I noticed Monika's shaky hands.

"So scandalous," I tease, she glances towards the church and grins.

"Why thank you. But I think I'm about to get even more atrocious," she began, taking my hands in her own. And before I knew it, she was down on one knee. I felt my jaw drop and tears well. "Because, I love you Felicia, and damn it if I care that we're homosexual and I'm proposing to you in front of a church. I love you. I want to spend my life with you! You're everything I never knew I needed! You aren't just another person in this world, you're my other half. I want to live my life with you, I want you to give me your everything. So, Felicia, will you do me the honors and make me the happiest woman on earth and marry me?"

Pulling out a small velvet box, she opens it to reveal a beautiful gold band with a lovely diamond hoisted on top. The dam broke, and tears fell down my face and as I stared at her for a moment, lost for words. Then I realize that's she's still waiting. "I don't have to tell you what my answer is! You already know it," I start to nod hopelessly, "Yes, yes Monika, yes! I will marry you!"

Monika slips the ring onto my designated finger with shaky hands of her own. Her lips found mine repeatedly as she showered me with butterfly kisses.

"I love you, I love you, I love you," I could hear her whisper over and over again before eruptly picking me up and spinning me in circles. Laughing joyfully, I wrapped my arms around her neck as she set me down and embraced her. When we pulled away, she took my hand in her own and lead me back to my house, giggling and smiling the whole way back. She was a quick learner.

We barged into the house, screaming the good news together in unison, "We're engaged!" Nonna smirked pridefully while Lovi ran over and embraced me, giving Monika a light punch to the arm. Monika smiled at Lovi, she was learning to be social thanks to my social butterfly graces. Woohoo!

"Well then, welcome to the family Monika! And I have a few rules that will need to be ironed into your brain first," Nonna began, Lovi and I immediately groaning. "Number 1, no sex before marriage. Number 2, no revealing clothes! Number 3, you must keep your eyes on Feli, she gets lost easily! Number 4, you must love her unconditionally. Number 5, don't let her eat chocolate for breakfast! That is all! Can you manage that?"

"Ma'm you already told me this and I gave you my word that I would," Monika chuckled, wrapping her arm around my shoulder to bring me closer. I nuzzled into her warm embrace and laughed full-heartedly.

We all sat down and spent the next few hours laughing away and storytelling, Monika's arm wrapped firmly around my waist.

"Alright ladys, its been fun but it's 2 in the morning, go to bed!" Nonna exclaimed, throwing pillows at us as the three of us retreated up stairs. Charging into my room with Monika just steps behind me, I crash onto the bed. Jumping onto the space besides me, we curl up into one another and fall asleep contently, her hand holding onto my own.
