harry was so greatful that louis was there for him. harry cried a lot the next few days and louis was always there to wipe his tears.

louis had called out from work since the 'incident' and today was his first day back and to say he was nervous to leave harry alone was an understatement.

they had been watching disney movies all day with the twins until about 7 when louis needed to start getting ready for his long night shift.

after showering and putting his bland, black and red uniform on he heaved a big sigh, not wanting to leave his three favorite curly headed people.

"it's time for me to go," louis mumbled catching the attention of the group that was huddled together on the couch, making louis smile. "come give me a hug before i go little ones."

as soon as louis finished his sentence the twins jumped off of harry's lap and giggled as they ran into louis' open arms.

"i'll see you guys early tomorrow okay?" the twins nodded and left huge kisses on each of louis' cheeks, Harry smiling fondly at the three.

when the twins finally went back to the couch to watch the rest of cinderella, harry stood up and slowly walked toward the slightly shorter man and sighed.

"are you gonna be alright alone?" harry smiled and nodded.

"yeah i have the twins," harry mumbled, "i'll just miss you a little."

louis smiled and agreed as he wrapped his arms around harrys waist and the taller boy laid his head on louis' shoulder.

"we are acting like you're leaving for war or something." harry giggled for the first time in days, making louis chuckle lightly.

"okay i'll see you guys later." louis walked to the door and slipped his shoes on. he opened the door and looked back at the group that was back to sitting together on the couch, he waved and smiled at all the excited waves he got back.

louis shut the door and headed to his car with a smile still resting on his face.

it has been a few hours and the store has been dead, louis and niall have been playing around and eating do the whole time but they have finally run out of things to do.

louis was looking at the clock 2:55 it read, he was hoping harry would show up with the twins but he didn't really have a reason too so he didn't get his hopes up.

a few minutes later someone walked up to the counter and louis smiled seeing the twins sleeping in a stroller and their long legged father smiling brightly at louis.

"hello i would like, some fries and maybe you on the side." harry winked making louis laugh at his attempt to flirt.

"i guess, i could get you the fries but you know, my ass is worth a lot more than mcdonald's." louis replied making harry bark out a laugh, quickly covering his mouth with his hands, face turning bright red.

louis chuckled and he paid for the fries adding on two ice creams to go, the twins could eat them later.

"hey i was gonna pay for that." harry tried to protest but louis pretended not to hear him, he started to whistle and walk away to make the fries.

harry rolled his eyes fondly and walked to their normal booth, smiling at the memories.

"this has always been my favorite booth." louis smiled cheekily, handing the fries to harry.

harry smiled, softly nodding to agree with the statement.

"thank you louis." louis looked at the curly lad in confusion so harry continued, "if it wasn't for you, i would've still been at home getting hit and putting my kids in danger. i had no friends before you and now i have you, niall, and liam. you helped me so much and i can't thank you enough. you mean the world to me."

harry glanced at the boy beside him with red cheeks.

"oh my gosh," louis said in shock, "you're welcome baby, i'm so glad i could help you. you are the most beautiful person on the planet and you have the most beautiful kids on the planet too and you all deserve the best and i might not be able to give it too you but i want you to let me try and-"

louis was cut off by harry mumbling a fond 'shut up' with a smile on his face as he leaned in and kissed the boy softly.

and if niall giggled softly behind the counter as he watched the two boys kiss for the first time, no one had to know.
