Blue Eyes, Golden Hair

Chapter One

For as long as Alec could remember, he had been in love with the golden haired angel known as Jace Wayland, then Jace Morgenstern, then Jace Lightwood, and finally Jace Herondale. He supposed his love for Jace had started when he first laid eyes on the stubborn boy who had seen so much in his short life.

At first, Alec tried to push away all thoughts of feeling that way, but when they became parabatai...well, there really was no turning back.

Yet Jace was untouchable, always had been, always would be; however, Alec was strangely at peace with it, because it meant that as long as Jace remained that way, he would never have to share him with anyone.

Then she appeared. A little fireball by the name of Clary Fray who suddenly became the center of everyone's attention.

But that wasn't why he hated her, he hated her because she had suddenly become the center of Jace's attention.

Alec hated her because she was as reckless as Jace, because she acted like she knew what she was doing when clearly she didn't.

And it wasn't fair. It wasn't fair that she could waltz in and become the star when she didn't even do anything. It wasn't fair that she could have Jace all to herself without having to say a word. And it wasn't fair that she was allowed to be as affectionate with him as he wanted to, just because it was acceptable for them to be so.

And Alec tried, he tried to forget, to move on. He met Magnus, a handsome and confident warlock who seemed as into Alec as Jace wasn't. But no matter how many times he kissed Magnus, no matter how many times he fucked Magnus raw, all he could think about was Jace.

It wasn't until Jace and Clary's breakup that things started to turn around for Alec.

Jace came to him in the middle of the night, clearly upset but taking it like a champ as he sat on the edge of Alec's bed, his head in his hands and his breathing slightly uneven as he told Alec all the things he was feeling.

The break up had apparently been mutual, though from the way Jace described it it seemed anything but. Apparently Clary had come to the conclusion that she needed some time after the death of her brother and the loss of her best friend, and Jace had agreed, but only because he knew there was no stopping Clary when she made up her mind.

As Jace vented these feelings, Alec tried to focus on his words and not on the sliver of skin that showed when Jace got up and started pacing, occasionally stretching his arms up and exposing things that Alec knew he would probably wind up thinking about later.

Finally Jace left, and Alec was glad because it gave him time to think. What did he feel about this whole situation? He wasn't exactly sure. He hated seeing Jace in pain, and he was sure that his feelings for Jace were slowly starting to change, but some small part of him still belonged to his parabatai, and he feared that would never change.

Their first kiss happened after a fight with a demon in which both of them had almost been killed. They were so happy to find each other still in one piece that they hugged the other like their life depended on it. At first they made no attempt to pull away, but when they finally did, something seemed to change within them. Without even hesitating, Jace pressed his lips to Alec's, he tasted of sweat and blood from his split lip and something uniquely Jace. To say Alec was surprised was an understatement, but he didn't have much room to complain, especially when he found his hands tangling in Jace's hair, his fingers running through the soft, golden strands that he had always longed to touch; of course, demon fighting always works up an appetite, the boys had just never realized what kind. The two continued to kiss, oblivious to the world around them as Jace's tongue slipped into Alec's mouth, beginning an erotic dance between their tongue's that seemed to go on and on until finally they broke apart for air.

They didn't talk about the kiss afterwards, Jace went back to obsessing over demons and Alec went back to living with Magnus, the man he should love.

The second time they kissed was a lot more hot and heavy. It was right after a training session, both of them were sweaty and tired, yet they had barely exited the training room before Jace had crashed his lips against Alec's his mouth unrelenting in its quest to seemingly devour him, pressing him into the wall in typical Jace manner. They only stopped so that Jace could peel Alec off the wall and drag him into his room (which was thankfully close by so that neither of them had the chance to reconsider what they were doing). The kiss progressed as follows: shirts removed, hands grabbing at anything they could, two bodies falling onto Jace's bed in a gasping and moaning heap. Both of them climaxed. Jace inside of Alec's mouth and Alec inside of Jace's mouth.

The first time they had sex was after Alec and Magnus' breakup. Alec showed up in Jace's room, just as Jace had when Clary had broken up with him. No words were exchanged, the two parabatai seemed to understand just what the other needed. Alec was experienced with men thanks to Magnus, so he knew exactly what he was doing and luckily Jace was a quick study. It was sloppy but oh so perfect.
Because it was Jace and Alec, Alec and Jace.
It was them and that's all that mattered.

Afterwards the two wound up cuddling and falling asleep together.

It was illegal, what they were doing, it discovered they could be banished of executed.

But perhaps that was the fun of it, knowing that what they were doing was wrong only seemed to make the situation even hotter and more arousing.

The first time they made love was when Alec cried out Jace's name while they fucked, exclaiming that he loved the blond haired angel boy. He was thoroughly embarrassed and positively certain that Jace would end it right there. What he didn't suspect was for Jace to say it too.

"I love you, Alec. My parabatai, my lover, my life."
