Chapter 42

I woke up the next morning with an arm wrapped around my waist. I rolled over and saw Joe led there in the spot was occupied by Theo. I climbed out of his bed, grabbed my phone and went into the kitchen. I sat at the breakfast bar and checked my phone- 6 new messages, 5 missed calls and 4 voice mails. I checked the messages.

Hey, where are you?x - Amy

Babe, where are you? You've been gone a day and a night. I'm worried about you, please tell me where you are. I won't force you tell me anything else. I just want to know where you are and if you're safe. Luke's been crying non-stop, it's as though he knows you're missing. I love you xxxx - Theo

Hey sis, where are you? Theo's going stir crazy worrying about you. Please whatever you do, do not do anything stupid. You have a fiance who loves you very much and a beautiful baby boy who needs you. Please come back or at least tell me where you are and I'll come and pick you up. Love you sis x -Sam

Madison, where are you? Everyone's going mental looking for you. You've not been seen by anyone since yesterday morning. Just wherever you are or whatever you're doing, please come back. I love you xxxx - Alexis

Madi, look I'm not bothered what you're doing. But please just come back. Theo rang me up thinking you would be at mine but I haven't since the day before yesterday. Everyone's worried about you, me included. x - Ethan

Madison Grace Williams!!!! Come back please, we all love you and we just want you to be safe and to return home. Please, you're my best friend and I honestly couldn't handle it if anything happened to you. Love you xxx - Josh

Madi, will you please come back? Everyone loves you and are worried about you. Please come home. x - Matt

I heard a cough behind me and turned round to see Joe stood there. I got up and put some bread in the toaster and got the bacon out of the fridge. I was just about to put it into the frying pan when Joe spoke up.

"Sit down, I'll do it. You had a traumatic day yesterday and when you've eaten, I'll take you home if you want." He said. I nodded. 

 My breakfast was put in front of me. I looked up at him and smiled. I decided to eat my breakfast first which I managed to eat in 3 minutes. When I finished, Joe looked at me shocked.

I got up, put my plate in the sink and went into the bedroom. I had a shower and walked into the bedroom in just a towel. I got dressed in my clothes and sat on the edge of my bed.

I went in the front room to find Joe sat there watching TV. He looked up as I entered the room. 

"Hey, are you ready?" He asked. I nodded. We walked out of the apartment and down to the car. We got in and he drove to Theo's. 

"Hey Joe, stop here please."

"OK. If you ever need me, don't be afraid to ring me." He said. Joe hugged me and I climbed out. 

I walked inside the house and I was surrounded by all my mates, my brothers and sister and Theo who was holding Luke.

I felt tears come out of my eyes and roll my face. Theo passed Luke to Amy and came over to me. When he came closer, I noticed he had been crying too. He pulled me into a hug and I hugged him back. I felt him kiss my neck. I could him crying and I was the same. We stood like that for five minutes. The whole room was silent apart from the occasional sniffle from either me or Theo. He pulled away and kissed me. I kissed back. 

Luke chose that moment to cry so I pulled away and went over to him, taking him into my arms. I sat down on the couch and kissed his forehead and he stopped crying.
