Caitlin's Point of View (POV)

First day of school. It's just like any other day of school, but this one was definitely more important than the others. First day to impress teachers. First day to see old friends. First day to make new ones. First day to make an impression. It's just one day at school, but you never know what is going to happen. That is exactly what happened to me. On the first day of school, I met the love of my life.

Finally. I breathed out a sigh of relief as I looked at myself in the mirror, my pre-planned outfit on. It was exactly as I had imagined. I had my new owl tank-top under my basic black cardigan, paired with a floral skater skirt. Cute and semi-casusal. I beamed at the mirror, my eyes sparkling with happiness, rainbows and cupcakes. I could not wait to see my friends.

Opening the school door, I found myself back on the first floor. I saw some familiar faces but most of them were not ringing a bell in my head. Grade 7, said to be the last year of fun. "CAITLIN!" I was met by the beautiful faces of my best friends. I could not wait for the day to begin.

BRRING! The bell that signified break let out its roar. I was completely exhausted from my double history. I slowly trudged back to the lockers on the first floor and stuffed my books in them. "Sorry, excuse me, need to get to my locker! Sorry!" I heard him before I saw him but hearing his voice was like listening to angels singing. I turned around and made eye-contact with the flawless face of a boy I've never met. He smiled brightly at me and said in a raspy British accent, "Hey, it's nice to meet you. My name is Alessio Kenda."
