Were driving to the venue and I can't stop smiling. We turn on the radio and its perfect because, We Don't Talk Anymore comes on! I look down at my phone, only to see its only at 20%. I get super freaked out because I was gonna ask Charlie to take some pictures with me on my phone, since it was my birthday. But this won't get me down because in a couple of minutes I'm meeting Charlie freaking Puth.
We walk up to the building and go inside. Someone directs us where to go for meet and greets, and we start walking over there. A tall guy collects and scans our tickets and while he's doing that I see someone familiar behind him. I suddenly call out, "Jonathan!!!!" He then looked over, smiled and waved! That really got me excited for meeting Charlie!
We then had to get in a really long line and we were last. I was kinda bummed about being last in line, but I was still excited because behind the curtain was Charlie Puth, the man I have been trying to meet for years now. After about 20 minutes we were 2nd in line and I was super excited. I felt like I could start crying tears of joy. The next person went behind the curtain and I was ecstatic. My phone buzzed in my pocket, and it was a notification saying "iPhone at 2%"
But I ignored it because the people in front of us came out of the curtain and that meant, it was my turn. I walked forward, and moved the curtain to the side. And there he was, standing there smiling at me. My heart sinked and I started crying. He said "Aw come here" and he wrapped his arms around me. When we were hugging it was the best feeling in the whole world. Everything stopped and it seemed like it was just me and him, nothing else mattered at the moment. I was in his arms and I felt safe.
After we both let go, I smiled at him and he smile back. I finally said, "Hi, oh my god, I can't believe I'm actually meeting you, it has been my dream since so long." And he said back, " I can't believe i'm meeting you!" This is the best day of my life.
I then asked him, "Since its my birthday can we take a couple pictures on my phone?" And he said, "Of course!" Then I pulled out my phone and turned it on. The screen stayed black. So I tried to turn it on again. Once again it stayed black. I knew right then, it was dead. I got super sad, and Charlie could see it on my face because then he said, " Aw i'm so sorry your phone died, if you want we could take the pictures on my phone, and I could send then to you because I want you to have am awesome birthday!" I said "Oh my god thank you so much, you don't know how much this means to me."
So he then pulled out his phone and we took a bunch of pictures and videos. It was the best time ever. Then he asked me for my number and while I was telling him it felt unreal. After it was over I said goodbye and hugged him once again. I walked out of the little curtain room, and went to go to my seat. I sat down and took a deep breath. Wow, I can't believe what just happened.
