The boys practiced 'til midway, and only stopped when a team of staff brought lunch. I had to admit though, they are really talented. Every move was choreographed to perfection, the emphasis they placed on certain moves left me hyped for more.
Picking up a lunch set, I sat away from the group, feeling awkward and kind of left out. I've never forced myself to fit in, or have ever been the type to squeeze myself into conversations.
" Are we virus ridden or wha- " the voiced was rather deep, until it cracked at what. I glanced up curiously, to see a boy with jet black hair. And a super cute grin.
"Um, no ?" I replied cooly, trying to stay calm. The voices in my head need to shut up.
"It's okay," he placed his bento across mine and took a seat as he said, " I can assure you I am not infected. "
I nodded slowly, intrigued by his unique personality. Unsure of what to say, I poked with my chicken, racking my head for conversation starters.
" I'm Rui, " I said, breaking the silence.
The boy brought a hand to his mouth, hiding his award winning smile.
" I already know, but alright, I'm Na Jaemin. The rest calls me Nana, but I wouldn't having a noona call me Nana." He smiled to himself at the though as he ate his food.
" I'm not older than you, " I replied calmly. I'm not going to give another bad impression.
" Ya, you don't have to be so cold, " Jaemin pointed his chopsticks at me. "Anyway, President Lee doesn't like strangers around us, so I'm pretty sure that he has a reason for introducing you to us. Am I right ?"
I pressed my lips, reminded of what Uncle Lee had tasked me to do. But before I could come up with a witty answer, Haechan intercepted our conversation, " Sorry Jaemin, I'll need to borrow her for a moment. "
He sounded serious and intimidating, unlike how he was the night before. He pulled me out of the room hastily, gripped my wrists a little bit too tightly.
I yanked my hand free in annoyance. " Why couldn't you say it infront of Jaemin?, " I questioned angrily, ticked off by his sudden change of attitude.
"Stop avoiding me. " Haechan stated flatly.
"Avoiding you ?" My brows furrowed. "You're the one avoiding me, " I hissed, jabbing a finger in his direction.
"Ah !" He shouted, grabbing his hair angrily as he turned his back against me. "Forget it, Rui. You won't understand."
And he walked off.
What in earth.. I couldn't process what had just happened. Was he being delusional ? What did I even do to him. I stormed off, away from the practice room now that I've lost my appetite to eat.
That's it folks. This chapter has been in my drafts for really long and my "fanfiction" keeps getting comments every now and then, asking for updates- i didn't put it up for so long because it was half finished but:
1. i'm really grateful for all the love nct is getting and i'm glad that people like my work
2. i wrote this 2 years ago and i still very much love nct its just- i'm lazy and ill-disciplined HAHA also because i feel like nct, along with my love for nct, has evolved over these 2 years?
3. i don't think i'll ever get back to writing again. but nct will continue to make good music and i hope yall give them a lot of love and credit for their hardwork!
FIGHTING HAEYADWAE!!
