Randomness #1 - Sia Furler the Unique & Awesome Singer!

Do you know Sia? Well, in case if you don't, this is a piece of information about her.

FULL NAME: Sia Kate Isobelle Furler (a.k.a Sia)

BIRTH DATE: 18 December 1975

OCCUPATION/CAREER: Singer and songwriter

NATIONALITY: Australia (Hooray!! Because I live in Australia)

WHY I CHOSE HER: I just think that she is really different from other songwriters and singers. Here are some reasons/facts why:

1. She doesn't want to be famous."I don't want to be famous, or recognizable," Sia said in June 2014. "I don't want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the internet. I've been writing pop songs for pop stars now for a couple of years and I've become friends with them and see what their life is like and that's not something I want." Wow! Look how unique she is!!! 

2. Her songs are...how do I describe them?? A bit weird? But meaningful. Song recommendation: Elastic Heart - Written for The Hunger Games, it talks about inner demons and the struggle of overcoming. (I don't understand what that mean, but it's a deep, deep, deep emotion in Sia's heart.)

3. Sia wrote the lyrics of Rihanna's 'Diamonds' in 14 minutes. Wow. Just wow. I could never do that!!!!

4.Her songs have sold more than 25 million copies. I would love that. ; p

5. Her unique voice. Sia's special voice is really enchanting, sexy, lazy and really...melodious, especially her cracking voice. Normally a person's cracking voice sounds awful, but she just...slayed it, and it's totally AWESOME!!! Wanna hear it? The song is down below:

I have to say, that kid's (a girl) talent is amazing. I wish I could do that! I think she is supposed to be a smaller version of Sia, but I don't think she knows how to do karate. And please notice that the child is a black belt, the highest rank in karate.

6. Her past. Sia has a horrible, horrible past. I would have suicided long ago if I were her. She has said that she suffered from depression, addiction to painkillers and alcohol, and had also contemplated suicide before, going as far as writing a suicide note. Because...well, she was about to move in with her boyfriend when she heard the news that he died in a car accident.

7. She has an album called '1,000 Forms Of Fear'. Sounds creepy, huh? But that's exactly why I like her. The name reveals how scared and helpless she was when she was in her most depressed time.

8. Her view of the world. She doesn't care about genders. Well, she married the filmmaker Erik Anders Lang, in 2014. Research shows that she is homosexual (lesbian). When asked about her sexuality, Sia said, "Before I was actually successful I'd always said I've always dated boys and girls and anything in between. I don't care what gender you are, it's about people. I didn't just recently open up, I just recently got famous! I've always been... well, flexible is the word I would use."

9. She wrote a song specifically for the 'Orlando Shooting'. On June 12, 2016, a 29-year-old man killed 49 people and wounded 53 others inside Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, United States. It was the deadliest mass shooting by a single shooter, the deadliest incident of violence against LGBT people in United States history, and the deadliest terrorist attack in the United States since the September 11 attacks in 2001. If you don't understand why he did that, well, he hated gay people. (he was shot and killed by the police afterwards.)

Okay, so, the facts that are full of awesomeness above are the reasons why I love Sia. Don't ask me why I ended with the odd number 9. Thanks for reading folks!!! XD
