People say being at a new school is terrifying. All those new people, not knowing anyone, being completely invisible.
It wasn't the same for me. I looked at the positive.
It was a fresh start. I can make new friends and become who I want to be, not what others want me to be.
I looked down the halls, utterly lost and in need of help. I was a troublemaker. I didn't do what I was supposed all the time, but right now, I needed help. I usually don't.
"Lost?" I jumped at the sound. I turned to see a boy, dark hair and dark eyes.
"Shit. Yeah I am." I answer looking up to him. He flashed a smirk and nodded.
"Where do you need to go?" as he asked I grabbed my schedule and handed it to him. He started walking in front of me and I followed. I took this time to look at his few tattoos on his arm.
The one that caught my eyes was a bird with 'Mali-Koa' written underneath. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I looked.
"What are you staring at?" he asks harshly.
"Who's Mali-Koa?" I ask immediately following his question.
He stayed silent and stopped in front of a room.
"Here it is." he turns to start walking and turns back to me.
"I'm Calum. Calum Hood." he smirked again as I replied.
"I'm Alexis. Alexis Milson." I mimicked him. He smiled and turned, walking out of sight.
I giggled lightly as I entered first period and got stared at by everyone. I was late as it is but I personally didn't care.
The teacher looked at me, her glasses slipping towards the end of her nose, pushing them back up.
"And you are?" I nodded and stood up straighter.
"Alexis Milson." I pulled my sleeve down a bit more and she nodded. She had me sit in the back beside 2 kids, Michael Clifford and Samuel Keller.
Michael was like that Calum boy, sort of. He had a tattoo on his arms, Samuel was a nerd and I was already dreading this class.
Michael started poking me about 5 minutes into class.
"What Clifford?" completely frustrated I turned to him seeing a wide grin.
"I like the way you say that. You're cute" he winks. I roll my eyes and slump in my chair.
Class went by and he bothered me multiple times, Samuel giving me a sorrowful glance. I shrugged it off. As soon as class ended I walked out immediately and made it to my next class.
As I approached the room I saw a tall blonde. He had a lot of tattoos. Something about him made me just not want to look away.
"Stay away from him." I jumped and turned to see a girl.
"I'm Kylee. And that boys trouble." she smiles. I nodded in response and she walked into the classroom.
"Kylee. What do you mean he's trouble?" she smiles again and sits down.
"He is the school bad boy. But like, he's terrible. He doesn't care about anyone. And he never will. Also, he sleeps with every desperate girl, just for his pleasure. So stay away unless you want to be used and rejected."
I nodded again and took the seat behind her. We talked a ton in class and we clicked.
You know when you and someone you meet just instantly feel like you've known each other for years? That's what it's like with Kylee. She made my Math class a lot more bareable than you'd think.

I say on my bed staring at the ceiling. My band posters cluttered on one wall, next to my bed, and band t-shirts all in my closet. I had dark colored clothes, black jeans and t-shirts, dark blues, purples, greens, and reds. All that.
I had a small tattoo that said 'beside you' on the inside of my upper arm. I'm happy with it, it being my first tattoo and in memory of my dad.
I'm not the way I am because I lost my dad. My mom loves me. My older sister, who's in college, is very close to me. I have all I can ask for.
I'm like this because I chose to be like this. I didn't feel like I got in but I didn't care, all people do is being you down. Only if you listen to them.
And I don't.
