Chapter 5

The car came to halt and Snow looked up to see the building. It was shining with lights and saw camera lights flashing as people made their way inside the building.

Snow started shifting nervous. She didn't know that this party was this big of a deal. When their car came in front of the red carpet her father shifted towards her.

"Don't embarrass me out there." David ordered and got out.

The door opened and a man in a uniform smiled as he offered her a hand to get up. Snow smiled and got up. Suddenly the flashes were on her and she unconsciously gripped on the man's hand.

"Don't worry, Ms., you'll be alright." Just then David came towards Snow and offered her his arm. Snow took his arm and smiled at the man thankfully before taking her father's arm.

"When I will say look up you'll look up to the cameras and smile. If they start asking you questions then you start walking away." Snow could only nodded as her throat suddenly got dry.

David started walking dragging Snow with him. She really wouldn't have come if she knew she had to go through this.

"Smile." David ordered to which Snow looked up and gave the best fake smile she could.

Her eyes hurt from all the flashing and wanted nothing more than to rub them and get way from this place. Thankfully David started walking towards the door when someone started shouting questions at him. Snow quickly followed her father inside.

"We will meet some people then you can go sit in the corner. Don't try to wander off here." David gave the instructions to which Snow could only nod.

Snow looked up and saw they were being escorted to the the double door. The door was opened and then she saw the real deal.

They were in some kind of big hall which was filled with well dressed people. She looked up and saw a huge chandler hanging from the ceiling bring the beauty of it. She looked around saw unfamiliar faces around her.

"Ah Mr. Parker, thank God you made. I was having second thoughts you wouldn't make it." Snow looked forward and saw a man of her father's age greet him.

David took his arm away from Snow and she sigh in relief. David proceed to shake hands with the man who stood in front of him.

"And why would I miss a chance to meet you, Mr. Reynolds." Both men laugh as Snow stood there awkwardly.

"And who is this lovely young lady?" Snow felt his eyes on her. He looked her up and down making her shuffle her feet.

Mr. Reynolds looked at her more carefully and felt he had seen her somewhere.

"Ah, glad you asked, this is my eldest daughter, Snow." Mr. Reynolds eyes widened with recognition.

"Oh My, how beautiful you have gotten." Snow accepted the extended hand and smiled politely.

"You look just like your mother,kid." Mr. Reynolds still couldn't believe this girl was Melissa's daughter.

"You knew my mother?" Snow asked a bit confused.

"I see your father didn't tell you about me,huh?" Mr. Reynolds looked at David who wanted nothing more than to get away from him.

"David why don't you go and meet the others while I have a little chat with his beauty." David knew better than to argue. If he wanted to save his ass he needed to do what this man said.
