Kayla Jones: I am here with Rosary Grey. The little girl who was taken at just three years old. Do you remember what happened that night?
Rosary Grey: I remember being put to bed but, that is all, Kayla. I was too young to remember it at all.
Kayla: It must have been scary waking up in a new place.
Rosary: It was in a way but, as much as I was scared I knew the woman would take care of me.
Kayla: What do you mean by that?
Rosary: She seemed like a nice lady. Mary made sure I had everything that I needed in my life. As much as I hated Rick I loved Mary. She was like a mother to me. I just wish people would understand what she did for me.
Kayla: Do you want to see your parents at all? I know they miss you and kept looking for you. How did Rick keep you there?
Rosary: I did call my parents to talk to them and I do want to see them soon but, not right now. I was lead to believe that they were my family.
Kayla: Did you think that you would ever get out once you learned the truth?
Rosary: I knew that with God's help I would and that I had to stay strong for my kids.
Rosary started to cry just thinking about it.
Kayla: We will have more when we come back. For now let's take a break.
This is Rosary Grey's Story of hope and love. "You can always find a light at the end of the tunnel if you believe"Rosary was heard quoting.
For 20 long years the Grey always wondered what had happened to their three year old daughter Rosary. She was taken from their home. Rosary had just been put to bed and her parents were out for the night. Her babysitter had stepped out side for some fresh air. When she came back in to check on Rosary she was gone and no one knew how she was taken. "I swear I just stepped out for a moment. She could have been taken" said the sitter that night.
It remains a mystery to this day. How could some one just come in and take a little girl with out being seen. The back yard was fenced in and all the windows were closed plus locked. The only way in was through the front door where the sitter was. Her parents were at a loss for words. "We don't know who would want to take our little girl" Greg had said.
Her mother was just as shocked as he was that night. It had been a long and hard one. They were questioned all night long as well as the babysitter. Everyone was worried. This was a small town in Texas called Quell. Everyone knew everyone and nothing major ever happened. "We were all in shock by Rosary Grey being taken. She was such a sweet little girl. Her brown hair was always down. Those green eyes shined bright" said a neighbor named Gale.
The man that had taken Rosary had plans to sell her, but then he got got to thinking. She could be his slave and do all his chores for him. Rick Danton was a man who had nothing to his name but, a car and a wife. he was in the business of making money any way that he could. Once he got the girl back to his house, his wife came out. Mary Danton could not have kids. "I found this girl for us. She can be yours to take care of" Rick said.
Mary had taken to the frighten, scared, little girl. She told her things would be fine and there was nothing to worry about at all. Rosary was given a room and food through out her stay with them. Once she was of age Rick knew what he would do with her. "You will be mine" she remembered him saying.
