CHAPTER 1

NINA'S POV

"wake up nina." as i hear my little sister ava jumping on my bed.

"what is today?" i asked while getting up.

"your first day of school, duh." she laughs.

i get up go to the bathroom and take a shower.

when i'm done, i grab a towel, and dry myself.

i go to my closet get a maroon sweater, pants, and combat boots.

when i'm done getting dressed, i go back to the bathroom, dry my hair, curl my ombré hair, then put it up in a ponytail.

i decided not to wear makeup today.

i grab my backpack off my bed, and head down stairs to the kitchen.

"good morning nina, excited for your first day of school?" my mom says as she flips a pancake.

i go to the table and grab a bowl of pineapple and strawberries.

"yeah, i guess." i sighed.

"don't worry honey, it'll be great!" she says smiling.

as i sipped my tea, i nodded.

"well i better go, thank you for breakfast mom." i say getting and walking towards her to give her a hug.

"do you need a ride? i can ask your father." she asked.

"no that's okay. i can walk." i smile and say.

"well okay. love you sweetie." she says.

"love you too mom. bye ava and dad. love you guys." i smile and wave.

i grab my backpack, my phone, my earbuds, and head out the door.
