January part 1/12

Chapter two, January 2nd 3:40am

I was stuck, for hours I had been trying to break the door to no avail and there were no windows to try to break.

I slump to the floor I know I can't escape stop trying, how can my dad be a criminal? I'll be dead because they have it wrong, somehow in this state of panic I am tired there's not much else I can do really,i close my eyes and sleep.

________January 2nd 6:15am__________

The door opens waking me.

"Good news Jason" it's the pale lady, "your father payed up your safe, but still I'm going to get my men to drive you a safe distance away"

"How did my father pay you?"

"Like I said Jason there is more to your father than you know"

I breathe deeply in disbelief that what she has said about my father is true.

"And Jason, if i see you ever again I will kill you." She walks away.

I stand get blindfolded and again get shoved into the back of their car.

_________January 2nd 7am____________

The car stops again and the boot is opened.

"Out" giant man says again in his accent.

I clamber out they remove the blindfold walk back to the car and their gone.

Now I need to find out where I am and walk home.

_________January 2nd 9am____________

Finally I make it back home.

They had dropped me 7 miles from where I live with no car.

I knock the door.

It opens and I see my mum standing in the doorway.

"Where have you been!!" She screamed

"Mum where's dad?"

"You missed your birthday Jason and you've been missing all night! You are in serious trouble!"

I had forgotten all about my birthday I was 18 today

"Martha what are you screaming at?"

My dad.

He sees me and I stare at him.

The stare lasts for what seems an eternity and icy cold stare that neither of us could break.

"Well I'm going to leave you boys"

My mum walks away confused and uncomfortable by mine and my father's cold stare.

"We need to talk" I say a angry mutter towards him.

"Agreed somewhere private".

We walk upstairs to my bedroom.
