a/n: I'm so sorry I haven't updated this one. Hahaha. Realidad is killing me rn. This is just a short chapter because I'm still working on the plot of this book. I have several plots I want to explore but they might be too complicated for my liking, so we'll see. Anyways, thank you for those who are still waiting for this useless piece of poop. Hahaha. I'll be updating more, hopefully in December or this month.

He glances at his watch one more time as he taps his foot quite fervently against the asphalt. He was already at the airport, waiting. He didn't want to be there but of course, Alden just had to work today. He did this on purpose, he thought. Richard didn't want to see Maine. He can still see the chubby little girl who always clung on to him like a monkey. He scoffs at the thought.

"This better be worth my time. Dapat may pasalubong."

"Anong pasalubong ba ang gusto mo?" A voice from behind started.

Richard slowly turns his head to where the voice came from. Quickly scanning the surroundings of the parking lot and back to the voice. His eyes widen in surprise. A woman with a bare face and a messy bun, wearing a tight knit top and black leggings stands before him.

"Maine? Is-is that you?" He asks, like a deer caught in headlights.

"Chard?" Maine's smile grew wider.

"Whoa! You look—you look—not fat." Chard mentally kicks himself as soon as he realized what he had just blurted out.

"Yeah, I guess. And you—you look really good."

Chard can feel his face getting warm as Maine approaches him for a hug.

"It's nice to see you again."

"You too, you too." Chard could feel the lump in his throat growing as the pretty, young lady adjusted herself comfortably in his arms.

"Thanks for picking me up." She finally lets go. Chard unknowingly frowns, his arms immediately craving for more.
