At first, we thought the black liquid was oil, that we'd struck it rich and that we'd be able to retire and live in leisure. We actually started writing down all the ways we'd spend the money. Our first choice was the usually, nice cars, a big house and then it started to move. The barrels tipped over and the liquid popped the lid off from the inside making the lid fly and it hit some men knocking them to the ground and wounding them. We all didn't know what to do should we try to contain it, should we let it go? It crept along the floor hissing like a snake and sometimes dive at peoples feet making them jump back yelling and losing balance, most of them just landing on their backs after having lost their balance but some landed in pipes or barrels spilling oil and keeping them on the ground out of breath or wounded. When it came up to me it lunged but I didn't step back instead tried to kick it with no prevail, the liquid had burned me where it grazed my ankle. The commotion brought up more workers from the floors below. Commotion was everywhere and it only seemed to fuel the rage in the stuff. Men grabbed torches to start throwing at it but they stopped short when the heat became more intense. One man threw a torch at the wrong puddle and now the entire rig was in flames. I ran up to the main office and pressed the big red button that set off every single siren in the oil rig, I may not know what was happening I may not know what that stuff is but I do know that it was not oil. I watched as the men ran for the helicopters and the black stuff slipped into the oceans water as calm as the night was before we found that cave. "Sir! We have to go the last helicopter is about to leave" Those words broke me from my trance and as I ran for my life with the one man that came back for me I yelled " Is everyone gone already?" He nodded his head and yelled back "Everyone that want already dead!" We finally got to the helicopter and just as we were in the air and far enough away from the fire to feel the cold night air again we saw two men that were badly wounded standing waving their arms to get our attention and then the base exploded.
