Suicide.
Some slash their wrist,
Ingest a bottle of pills,
Jump of a high rise building,
Hang themselves or
Blow their brains off.
And in that moment
When they are bleeding to death
Closing their eyes for the last time,
Hanging loose in the air,
About to let their weight drop,
And let that
Bullet pierce their skull
Are moments they feel the most alive
Maybe suicide
So very "special moment"
To feel alive
Just once before
You cease to exist

I pull the blade across my skin. What's the point. No one cares. Not even my family. They left me, didn't even bother to say goodbye. They told me to pack my bags, and they dropped me off in front of an orphanage. That was seven years ago. I'm now fourteen.  The tingling sensation of newly drawn blood seeps from where the blade was stroked. It's just like a canvas. I say to myself. I've been adopted a few times, always thrown back though, because I'm different. Sure. Maybe I am what you would call different. I have eating disorders, I have scars, I hide my emotions and never show any emotions ever, why you might ask? Oh. It's simple hun. I'm depressed.

Most people think I'm just Over Reacting. I would show them my scars, and they would say I'm doing it for Attention, but once I'm dead. No one will realize, no one will care, and I will finally be at peace. "Katelyn hun!" Ms. Kennith knocked on the bathroom. Fuck. "I'll be out in a second!" I yell back, rushing around to clean the blood up off the floor, counters, and the sink. "Okay well hurry up!" She replies. "There's a family who wants to adopt you!" I hear her scurry down stairs. Yeah, adopt me. More like take me home with them, then throw me back when they get sick of me. It's been the same for seven years. I'm used too it.

I throw on my grey sweater, to cover my wrists and slowly make my way downstairs to greet the family. I look up from the floor, and see a lovely family standing there. An older couple stands there, with three kids. The couple looks about fifty, their eldest, I presume looks around seventeen or eighteen, he has straight black hair, and dark turquoise eyes. He's wearing a back leather jacket, black jeans, and shoes. He doesn't seem that.... What's the word. Approachable. Standing next to him, is what I presume is his younger brother, looking about sixteen. He has dark blue hair, and Navy blue eyes. He's wearing a white shirt, with a red hoodie and blue jeans. On top of his shoulders, sits a slightly younger girl, who looks about seven, she has light golden brown hair, and blue eyes, she also has a huge smile plastered on her face. I slowly make my way down to the family, and lock eyes with the little girl. She whispers something in her brothers ear and waves at me. I fake a smile and wave back. The boy lets the little girl of his shoulders, she runs to me and gives me a hug. I awkwardly hug her back and smile. "I've always wanted a sister" she gleams with happiness. I couldn't help but smile at her excitement. Even if this is only temporary. "What's your name?" I ask her. "I'm Lilith!" She smiles. "And these are my brothers Dante and Gene!" I swear I've heard those names before.... But where? Maybe an old school? I used to live in Phoenix Drop, but then my mother packed us up and moved us to O'khasis when I was six, the next year, they dropped me off here and.... I could help but let a small tear roll down my cheek. I quickly wipe it away, before no one notices. "Um... H-hi... I'm Katelyn." I sigh, glaring up at the family. The boy, the younger one almost stops in his tracks. He looks up at me, and we lock eyes for three seconds, then I quickly glance at the ground. Well... That was. Awkward. I think to myself.

"Katelyn, go grab your things." Ms.Kennith smiles at me. I quickly nod my head and jolt upstairs. This family feels.... Different. Katelyn! Stop it, they're just gonna throw you back in a month. A tear rushes down my cheek, probably true. I don't have many things, just a couple shirts, a few sweaters, a pair of jeans, a few pairs of leggings, and some socks. I only have one pair of shoes, so don't have to pack any, I'll just wear them. Finally, I grab my little turtle plushie my brother got me, before he... vanished.

*Flashback*

"Here, Katelyn, I wanna... Give you this." He handed me a stuffed turtle. "T-thank you but... Why?" I replied to him, hugging the stuffed bear like my life depended on it. "I'm.." He looks up at our parents. "I'm going on a vacation... You'll be joining our older brother and I soon, I promise." He gives me a sad smile. "Don't go, Please!" I cry, hugging him. "Katelyn!" My father hits me upside the head. I flinch. "Let him go." My mother says calmly. I let go of him, and watch him drive away with my father. The last glimpse I caught was his dark blue eyes, staring back at me.

*Flashback ends*

A tear rolls down my cheek. He has the same dark blue eyes, I faintly remember him. It was nine years ago. Where did he go? Another tear rolls down my cheek, but I make it downstairs, without the family noticing me. "Hello Katelyn!" The mom gleams to me. "I'm Mrs. Clarke, but you can call me Faith, this is my husband Rick, and our three children, Gene, Dante, and Lillith. They were all adopted, just like you!" She smiles. Why does Dante look so similar! I sigh. "Nice too meet you" I fake a smile. "Well, lets get going then! I've already signed all the papers!" Mrs. Clarke beams. I give Ms. Kennith a hug "Take care" she whispers in my ear. "See you soon.." She smiles at me sadly, and lets me go. I follow them into their car. Mr & Mrs. Clarke sit in the front, Lillith and Gene sit in the middle, and Dante and I sit in the back of their van. I fasten my seat belt, completely forgetting that my sleeves would slide down. "What happened to your wrists?"
