- During SM and YG meeting-
It was during the month of January. Mr. Lee called Mr. Yang for a meeting at SM Entertainment’s building. They both shook hands and took their seats and sat across from each other on a long table that could seat 12 people.
Mr. Lee: Hi Mr. Yang! Long time no see! How’s Big Bang and 2NE1 doing?
Mr. Yang: Hello Mr. Lee! Big Bang has been doing great! We’re planning on having a repackage for Alive. 2NE1 has been great as well! They have just finished their Japanese promotions and are currently taking a break. How about Super Junior, SNSD, F(x) and SHINee?
Mr. Lee: Super Junior is preparing for another Super Show, F(x) is preparing for their comeback and SHINee is still in the midst of their promotions for Sherlock. SNSD is all over the place! Haha, TaeTiSeo has been decided on and they’re preparing.
Mr. Yang: what about the others? I’ve seen them here and there.
Mr Lee: well, Yuri and Yoona are still in their dramas, Sunny and Hyoyeon are recording IY2 and Sooyoung and Jessica are doing great in their photo shoots!
Mr Yang: oh yes! That’s right! Hyoyeon and Sunny are so funny! I’ve also seen Yuri and Yoona’s acting. Yuri is doing so well! Oh yes, but before I forget. Why did you want to have a meeting only between the 2 of us again?
Mr. Lee: Oh! That’s right! So I have come up with a proposal. Acknowledging SNSD and 2NE1 success, I would like to have a collaboration between them.
Mr. Yang: Hmm I see. Are you propose we take members from both groups and have a little sub group?
Mr. Lee: Exactly! I really like your type of music and would like to mix 2NE1’s strong image with SNSD’s. As of now, I want like to give certain members a chance to shine in your type of music. Like Hyoyeon for example, she really likes electro-pop.
Mr. Yang: That is a great idea! Since 2NE1 is done with their promotions in Japan I think they’d be glad to hear of this. I’d also like CL to have more freedom in producing music. She has been wanting to produce music for 2NE1 so this should be a great opportunity for her. Who do you want to add to the group?
Mr. Lee: I want to add Hyoyeon like I said before because I wanted to let her choreograph her own dance moves. I’m not sure who else to add, I was thinking about Yuri because she would fit very well but she’s already filming a drama and she’s always going home tired. I am debating whether or not to add Jessica or Sunny.
Mr. Yang: That’s great! I’ve praised Hyoyeon for her strong sense in dance. So should the group be CL, Hyoyeon and Minzy? We could let them discuss amongst themselves whether to add Jessica or Sunny. They are responsible enough and I trust them. What do you say?
Mr. Lee: I feel like a father allowing my daughters out to go date. Haha. I trust them as well. They have also been asking me for more independence. Alright so it has been settled! Let’s call them in!
As Mr. Yang calls CL and Minzy Mr. Lee calls Hyoyeon. They didn’t let them know anything about what happened earlier. Instead they told them to come without question. Both of them hung up and looked at each other smiling.
Mr. Yang: This is going to be fun!
They both waited for the three girls in the conference room and sipped their coffee. They heard steps outside and quickly organized the table. They sat next to each other at the end of the table and waited for them to go through the door. Hyoyeon arrived first after she finished recording for Invincible Youth 2 wearing a 2 jackets and tan skinny jeans with some comfortable nike sneakers. She looked around with confused eyes and seemed to be very worried. She bowed to the 2 CEO’s and awkwardly took a seat on the left side of the table. There was complete silence for 20 minutes until CL and Minji arrived. They looked at each other wondering why Mr. Lee and Hyoyeon were there but shrugged it off. They bowed and sat at the right side of the table.
