Chapter 2: You've got to be kidding me

Erin's POV

It has been a few days since Daniel told me he liked me. Today is Tuesday and my family is still out of town until this Friday. School is nearby so I just walked today. It's the middle of Autumn and just a few weeks before thanksgiving.

This morning:

I woke up at 6:15a.m.

I got up and went into my bathroom I took a hot shower. I got dressed into jeans, a loose navy colored long sleeve t-shirt, that had the words

Eat

Drink

Sleep

And be happy

Printed in white on it and a gray pair of hightop converse.

I put some cover-up makeup on, some black mascara, and a little natural colored eyeshadow on. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs. I ate breakfast, grabbed my backpack, and headed to school.

It was lunch break at school, I sat at a lunch table with my best friends, Georgia and Logan. I was peacefully eating my peanut butter and jelly sandwich, when James, a boy who has one class with me, walked up to me. He is 1 year older than me. He's okay I don't know him very well but the way he acts in class he seems a little annoying. Another thing I know about him is, he's Daniel's brother and he's pretty cute.

Anyway.

"Hey." he said kind of bluntly.

"Hi." I said bluntly back.

"Can I talk to you after school? Outside by the side of the school. Alone." He asked me.

"Um sure as long as you're not going to murder me." I said jokingly.

He laughed and smiled. "Yeah of course." He left and went back to his table with his friends.

"What was that?!" Georgia asked excitedly.

"Yeah what was that?" Logan asked more confused then protective.

I laughed. "I really don't know."

"Oooo! Maybe he likes you!!!" Georgia exclaimed. I thought it over. "Probably not." I said doubtfully. The main reason I didn't agree to date Daniel was because I didn't like him that way. But also because I like James and have for a while now.

"Yeah probably not I mean who would like you you're ugly." Logan said jokingly.

"HEY!" I said laughing at him.

He just laughed. "Kidding! I was kidding!" He said still laughing.

"I guess you'll just have to wait and see after school." Georgia said taking the words right out of my mouth.
