HEY guys! Umm i guess you could say this is my first Wattpad story because I always end up deleting all my old stories that I can't figure out how I'm going to end it. But hopefully this isn't one of those stories!

Chapter 1
I smiled as I drove down the winding country road. With my dog by my side. I had the classic country station song, the warm Tennessee sun shining through the windows, while I hummed along to the old Waylon song that drifted out of the radio. I was livin' good. What else could this country girl ask for? I got my truck, my dog, my truck, tell me, what else do I need? Not to mention my horse, Jack Daniels. Haha yes I named him after a famous Tennessee brand whiskey. This is the life. I make a right hand turn onto Saw Mill Road, heading into the small, middle-of-no-where town Lakeville.
Population 706.
When I get into town, I park on the side of the road of the old Cozy Corner's cafe. “Mornin' Gretta!” I said to lady behind the counter. “Dixie!” Gretta greeted me. “What can I get you, darlin'?”
“I'll have a sweet tea, please” I say politely.
“Comin' right right up, sweetheart” Gretta was a petite middle aged woman with bits of hair pointing out in all different kinds of directions
“Dixie!” a young female voice squealed. I'd know that voice anywhere!
“Danielle!” I said excitedly as I stood up from my bar stool and gave her a quick hug. Danielle was a beautiful southern belle with honey blonde hair with tight waves, green eyes, light tan skin, and a beautiful smile. She was wearing a pale pink sundress and cowboy boots. As for me, I had tan skin, dark straight hair, and big brown eyes lined with eyeliner. I for one was wearing a Chevy logo shirt, bell bottom jeans, my favorite belt buckle, and cowboy boots. We both were very pretty, not being self centered. We both sat down in our seats and chatted about the latest teenage gossip.
“Dixie, I heard your parents parents are boarding a boy from New York City!” she gushed out. Wait... what?
“What in God's name are you talkin' about?” I asked furrowing my brows. She did the same. “They didn't tell you?”she asked. I shook my head. “That's strange,” she said, as we sipped our iced tea. We pondered on about the New York City boy. After we finished our tea, we payed Gretta our $2 and walked out the door. “How bout you drop by later and we could go horseback riding?” I offered her as we stepped into our vehicles.
“Yeah, sure. I'll drop by around two” she smiled.

“Mama, I'm home!” I called out as I walked inside the farm house, Jessie running past me and into the living room. The warm scent of baked apple pie and cinnamon greeted me. I heard voices coming from the kitchen. As I got closer I could here my ma's voice.
“Ma?” I said again.
“In here, darlin'!” My ma's smooth voice replied. As I entered the old country kitchen , I gave my ma a quick peck on the cheek. “Dixie, I'd like you to meet Justin, Justin, this is my youngest daughter, Dixie.”
“Nice to meet you” I said with a warm smile. Justin just nodded in reply. Justin had bright blue eyes and dark brown hair that hung over his eyes with tan skin. He was wearing a grey beanie, Dark blue skinny jeans, a bright blue hollister shirt, and a grey pair of Nike's. I have only seen a guy that dressed like this once. He moved to my school for 2 days and left because one, people bullied him, and two he didnt quite fit in. You see, everyone in my school wears boots and jans. We don't wear expense brands much, only the girls do. We, like any other school, have that one catty group of girls that judge anybody by the way they look.
“Dixie,” my mom said. “Justin is gonna stay in your room for a couple weeks until your daddy fixes that damned leak in the guest bedroom.”Then where the hell am I gonna sleep. “Okay,” I said, taking off my scuffed up boots.
“Oh and sweetie? Will you help Justin get settled in?,” I suppose...”Sure,” I simply said as I rounded the corner to the stairs, Justin following in suit. Without saying a word he was quickly typing on his iPhone. Probably texting his budding about how he just walked into Hicktown. As I walked into my room I noticed the bare mattress next to my window.
“Well go ahead and make yourself at home,” I said sitting on the edge of my bed cross- legged.
Again he didn't reply as un packs like three other pair of shoes, expense clothing brands, Holister cologne, hair gel, boxers, and all that. He starts to dress his bed but it seems as though he's having trouble.
“Here let me help you with that-”
“No,” he snaps. “I don't need yourhelp”.
“Well, tell me when you do need help” I said as I sauntered out of my room to the kitchen.
“Who is, ma?” I asked.
“Now, Dixie, his mom is a good friend of mine. She used to live down her in Lakeville, his mama wanted us to take care of him while she's on a business trip. She's gonna be gone for months maybe even a year. But she said while he's here, she wants us to teach him that there's more in life than parties, sports cars, and girls."
I was silent for a moment, thinking about how stupid sports cars are.
“His ma wants us to straighten him out while he's here.”
“Hmm... and why do you want me to help him?” I asked crossing my arms and raising a brow.
“Not just you, your pa and I will help him too but considering you two are the same age, y'all will be spending more time together especially in school and I think you'll be a good influence on him.”
I internally scoffed at the thought of me being a good influence.
“Alright. I'll see what I can do.”
