I suddenly felt so small as I finally reached my new home. The building was tall and I wanted to count all the windows but that would be impossible, at least for me. Slowly I entered the school area and looked at all the people who seemed to surround me. My hands began to shake again, followed by the well known, but unbearable headache. It was the smell of cigarettes which made me feel worse again. I was not motivated to come here in the first place but now I just wanted to run home. Everything I learned in boarding school was how to resist but then there were not many opportunities for me to get what I wanted, so it was easy, but now everything was so much harder. I closed my eyes and pulled my sleeves down so no one could see the evidence of the struggles I had in my life.

As soon as I opened my eyes again, I looked for something to lift my mood. There were some few pretty girls around, but no one was really my type, plus that they all were into guys too. A sigh sneaked up my throat but I swallowed it, before it could reach out for some fresh air. I could never manage all this by myself but no one should know who I really were.

My name is Daonna Dìochuimhneach. My name is Daonna Dìochuimhneach. My name is Kahlen Ha- "No!" I cried out as I messed up the names again. I would never learn not to use my real name. It was horrible to know your old you was vanished and all you had left were some memories of a non existent person. Tears swallowed the fake smile and black streams of make-up decorated my cheeks. This very first day at my new school was even more horrible than I ever imagined it to be. "I give up.." I mumbled, grabbed my bag, turned around and took a few steps before someone touched my shoulder "Hi!" It was  a calming voice, so I turned around to she who it belonged to, and looked directly into a pair of clear, green eyes.

"Are you okay?" she asked and I just nodded. "You do not seem to be that okay.." She wiped the tears off my cheeks and gave me a warm smile. "Let's fix you up a little, okay?" I just nodded again, so she took my hand and pulled me softly into the school building and further into the girls restroom. I wiped the make-up off my face and the girl helped me to put some new on, so no one could see that I was crying. "Thank you" I mumbled a little embarressed and tried to smile, but failed. It just did not look naturally when I smiled, so I just never really did.

"What's your name?" it was obvious how curious she was about me. "Ka- uhm Daonna Dìochuimhneach." I blushed and looked down. Wow, the floor was really exciting right now. The patterns never matched, so it created a chaos with it's own beauty right inside all this mess. I kind of felt the same way.. "Oh, are you Scottish?" I looked up at the girl. What should I say? I did not remember all of Daonna's background. Was I Scottish? "Partly" I finally answered, "My Dad was." I was not sure if it was true, but I needed to remember this. If anyone else asked me the same question, I needed to answer the exact same thing; I was partly Scottish, my Dad was a Scot, not my Mom. "Exciting! have you ever been to Scotland?" My face lighted up. Finally, something I knew! "Yes, it is a beautiful country. Everything is so simple, even in our modern way of living." It was true. Scotland is a wild and free country. It was may ruled by the Queen of England, but Scots had their own way of thinking and living, even today.

"My name is Riley by the way" She ran her fingers through her long, dark hair and bit her lip so her sharp teeth became visible. Gosh! That was so sexy! I must have stared, because she started to giggle. Was it so obvious? Shit! Well, good I didn't want to become an actress. I would totally fail. I was bad at arguing and discussing things, but the main problem was that I never would be able to remember the script. My brain just didn't work like it should.

It was normal for me to be together with people, I didn't know, but I never got used to it. It was hard to be alone all your life, but there was nothing I could do about it. When I would wake up tomorrow morning, I wouldn't even remember that I met Riley, if I didn't write it down quickly. It was horrifying to know things like that and it was even more scary, when it really happened. Sometimes I had luck and I still knew what happened the day before, but that got rarer.

"You think a lot, don't you?" Riley smiled towards me. Her cheeks were a little red, which seems unnaturally because of her blueish skin. I nodded "Mostly people don't recognize me, so I use that time to think about all kind of stuff." This time she nodded "How did you get here? I suppose you flew, unless you come from around here" she paused for a few seconds, before she continued, "Do I talk to much?" I was amused. I liked it when people talked a lot. That meant I wouldn't have to talk much. "I don't bother" I finally answered, "I don't really talk much, so it's fine by me if you do the talking." Her face lighted up and as she took a step forward I could see the golden sprinkles in the green colours of her eyes. She looked so stunning.

"You know, I was born as a Medirerian, but my parents left me at Neptunia. That is why my skin is blue and not green like it should be. You must know that Medirerians live in the darkness, and Neptunia always has bright sunlight, so that is why I look so different from all the other Medirerians." She sighed and looked down for a second. She seemed to be upset about something, so I just wrapped my arms around her. "I'm sorry, but you always have to see the positive thing. You are unique, like nobody else in this entire Galaxy. I'm just Human. You have a cool look and a story to tell. I am just... Me. "As soon as I finished Riley busted in laughter. "That will be your nickname for now on. Don't even try to get rid of it. It won't work." She continued laughing and I joined her.

It was such a shame that my memory always got so blurry after just a short amount of time. I liked this moment. It was one these brief seconds that you always wanted to hold in your hand forever, make them freeze, but instead they are like sand, running through fingers. You watch it happen but there is nothing you can do about it.

I used to do something about forgetting. I had something that helped me to keep things in my mind, but I was never proud of using it, and spend way too much money on it. My hands started to shake again and my breath seemed to want to escape my lungs. Only thinking about it made me feel blurry and black spots started to dance in front my eyes already. Instantly I reached out for some water. There enough here, so I turned on the faucet and bend down to sink a little, so my dry mouth could reach out for some refreshing liquid.

"Now I'm sure that something's up. If it's because what I just told you.. You are not ordinary, not just a Human Me, you are you and simply that makes you different from all the others. Just a seconds ago you told me that being different is a good thing, and by the way: beeing normal is kind of boring"

As soon as my breath got steady again I gave her an honest and thankful smile. I liked the way she cheered me up. It was a gift. "Thank you" I paused and thought about asking her out but I didn't think that it was such a good idea, "Want to ditch class today?" I asked instead and a smirk appeared on my lips. "Sure. The teachers here are crappy anyway. There is a good hiding place nearby. Wanna go?" Her lips copied my smirk and we walked out of the restroom and down the hallways. I tried to remember the way we went but I forgot the way already two minutes after we arrived. Maybe I could've made it, if I would be able to concentrate, but that was impossible for me when I was near Riley. I always tried to stay away from people, even though I didn't know if I ever did.

I looked up at her as she took my hands into hers. We crossed our fingers and smiled. "Why do you first show up here now?" "I don't know" I replied a little confused, "Why are you asking anyway?" She came a little closer "You're pretty." She smiled at me but that confused me just more. Why was she changing topic so suddenly?

I bit my lip and my eyes met hers. I closed my eyes for just a few seconds to think, to concentrate, but I couldn't. My body wanted her, and to did my brain and my heart. I should not. I just shouldn't! I SHOU- What?..

Just at the moment I was just a second before losing control Riley laid her lips on mine. All my thoughts got washed away and I put my hands on her hips and pulled her close to me. It was amazing! But then it started again. I felt blurry and the kiss felt so strange and wrong. I pulled away and took a step back. Then I took a deep breath and opened my eyes.

In front of me stood a person. Her skin was blueish and her green eyes had some golden sprinkles. She was pretty but I didn't know her. Who was she, and why was I kissing her? Everything was so blurry.

"Who are you?" I finally dared to ask.
