Prologue

August 23,2013

The soft pitter patter of the late summer rain drizzled down the windows of the classroom. Everyone was staring at the whiteboard in the front of the class. written in big bold letters 'DESCRIBE YOUR UNIQUE FEATURES! ~Ms. Aurora'

People looked at one another, confusion written on their faces. Why was this relevant to Language Arts?

Oh,Pardon me! Hello Reader! I left out so much to explain. [please excuse my rudeness!] I am Sora, a senior at Flametop High. I'm very normal, unlike a lot of girls in these books and love stories! I'm no princess or vampire [twilight. Ew.] but I'm just a normal 18 year-old with normal friends and normal clothes in a not so ...Average world. Well after explaining a little about me, let's get back to the story!

I looked down at my wide ruled notebook paper and sighed. I thought to myself.

'Well, you have freckles on your shoulders?' I chuckled to myself and smiled.

In my deep state of thought I heard a familiar tapping on my desk. I shook my head, leaving my day dream and I swiveled my vision to the left to look at Carolynn.

"You'll never lose your tapping disorder will you?" I warmly told her and she smiled.

"You'll never stop day dreaming will you?" She replied and giggled, her mousy voice softly making her have a high pitched dialect. "What are you doing after school? If you're not busy, we should swing by Yogurt Palace!"

I smiled and glanced at my blank paper and then I glanced at hers, which had two words on it.

Going back to the question, I hesitated.

"Uhh, sure! Sounds great!"

"Yay!" She stood up and did a small twirl, her small frame and her floral knee-low dress bounced to her confidence and she looked like an elegant crane.

"Want me to drive?" I offered nicely and she stopped in mid-twirl to think.

"What if Lilith wants to come, or what if Opal wants to tag along too?"

"They can come, but they're paying for their yogurt!" Carolynn let out a little giggle and grinned ear-to-ear, her long curly hair sprung like a spring when she jumped up and down in joy.

"Yay! Bestie hangout!"

2 hours later...

The familiar chime of the lunch bell rung throughout the classrooms and students cheered in glee, thank Lord, algebra 1 was getting stupid.

I strolled into the cafeteria and Carolynn was sitting at the back booth (which is our table) she was waving and smiling, her sharp cheekbones easily showing.

I snickered to myself and walked over to the booth and slid in beside her, pulling out a brown sack from my backpack, and setting it on the table.

"There's Opal!" Carolynn squeaked and I spasmed in surprise.

"Jesus Carolynn! You're going to give me a stroke one day!"

She smiled and laughed under her breath.

"Sorry Sora."

Opal slid into the other booth side and she set her lunch tray down.

"Aye, so I heard Carolynn is planning an adventure again?" Opal grinned and Carolynn's face got a flushed pink in embarrassment.
