It was well past the time Sebastian usually woke up Ciel, who was still sleeping soundly in his bed. He rolled over and sat up, woken by the rays of sunlight hitting his eyes. He glanced at his clock and quickly snatched up his eye patch, clumsily tying it on, before calling for his unusually late butler. "Sebastiaaan!" he shouted, but he didn't come. Sighing, Ciel climbed out of bed and walked out into the hallway, wearing his overly sized nightshirt. He quickly and quietly headed to Sebastian's room, expecting him to be there. He threw open Sebastian's door and said, "Sebastian, are you in here?" however, as he looked around he only saw one thing- a small bump in the covers, slowly rising and falling as if it were breathing. "Sebastian, I swear, if I find a cat in here I'll throw it out the windo-" Ciel started, but then realized he wasn't having any allergic reactions, so it couldn't be a cat. He started towards the bed and removed the neatly placed bed sheets from their places, and his blue eye widened. It was a baby Sebastian. It looked exactly like him, same pale skin and black hair. It even had on a miniature version of Sebastian's uniform, complete with the head butler badge and gloves. The tiny creature opened its ruby eyes, staring up at Ciel. "Cell?" he attempted. "S-Sebastian...?" asked an awe-struck Ciel. Sebastian sat up and extended his arms, grasping at the air, wanting to be picked up. Ciel walked up to him and complied with his request, but mostly to examine him more closely and to keep him from crying out. The young Sebastian cooed and snuggled closer to his master, burying his head in the crook of Ciel's neck. Ciel was about to protest, but decided against it when he looked upon Sebastian's peaceful face. He adjusted his hold on Sebastian so he could better support the now baby demon. Ciel softly smiled as Sebastian shifted in his arms, trying to snuggle closer to him. He would never admit it of course, but he had a soft spot for children. He stroked Sebastian's hair softly before laying him back down on his bed gently as the demon fell asleep. He walked out and softly closed the heavy door behind him, turning the corner and running into someone, and they both ended up on the ground, along with many sets of silverware and china. "Young master! I'm so sorry, yes I am!!" Mey-Rin said, standing and offering a hand to help him up. He gladly took it and dusted himself off. "It's fine, Mey-Rin, just clean this up." He said, in a much happier mood than normal for him. The young master's new attitude shocked Mey-Rin, but she did as she was told and Ciel walked away, headed to the library to get a book on children. He found it, and headed back to Sebastian's room, but not before grabbing a small blanket and pillow, along with some old baby toys, and managed to smuggle them to the room without trouble. He carefully opened the heavy wooden door, in case he was still sleeping, but found him awake and looking at some birds just outside the window. He looked to Ciel, however, when he closed the door behind him and laid out the things he gathered on the floor, picking Sebastian up and carefully sitting him on the blanket. Sebastian immediately snatched up a toy cat plushy, and began to hug it to his chest, cooing softly. "Of course." Ciel thought out loud, shaking his head as he sat on the bed and flipped through the childcare book to the proper section. "Let's see, he can say some words clearly, he sits by himself, and can walk properly..." Ciel thought out loud again, seeing Sebastian stand up and walk around the room with his kitty out of the corner of his eye. "Kitty, kitty, kitty!" Sebastian chanted as he walked around. Ciel laughed a bit and set the book aside, kneeling down on the carpeted floor and opening his arms as Sebastian ran to him, before picking him up and setting him on his lap as he read the book once more, Sebastian staying entertained by messing about with his stuffed cat. A few hours later the sun was setting, and the two boys were getting tired. Ciel lay Sebastian on his bed, covered him with the covers, and prepared to head to his own room, but was stopped by a whimper from the young butler. He turned around and saw Sebastian sitting up, hugging his cat to his chest while he looked at Ciel, seemingly scared. Ciel smiled gently and walked over to the bed, laying down with him, and Sebastian cooed happily as he snuggled up to Ciel, who wrapped his arm around the younger butler as he drifted to sleep, Sebastian's head buried in the crook of his neck as he too fell victim to his dreams.
