Ruby heard a knock on the door. She looks at the clock to see it was midnight. Ruby had stayed up still thinking about the events that happened only four days ago. Ruby got up from her bed and walked down the long dark hallway passing Yang's room to see her sister was fast asleep. She gives a small sigh thinking about how they haven't really talked since Yang's arm was cut off. Ruby is knocked from her thoughts when she hears a second knock on the door. She jumps a little then opens the door to see Jaune. Jaune stands there for a second his blonde hair in his face and his blue eyes watery with tear, and in his hands is a jar full of ashes.

"Jaune what are you doing here?" she asks in a sad squeaky voice that once was joyful and happy. Jaune sticks out the car silently telling Ruby to take it. Ruby takes the jar and gives him a questioning look. He takes a shaky breath and a single tear slides down his cheek. "Jaune, what is this?"

"It's Pyrrha's ashes. After everyone left beacon I went back up and gathered her ashes along with this," he pulls put the gold crown out of his back pocket. Ruby let's put a gasp and puts one hand over her mouth, the other holding the jar tightly. "I brought them here because u thought you might want to have a piece of Pyrrha with you," Jaune explains. Ruby nods a little and looks down at the jar of ashses.

"Thank you Jaune, it was good to see you," she says then closes the door not letting him say a word or give her the crown. She walks back to her room and she doesn't take her eyes off the jar. Ruby steps into her room and shuts the door behind her. She leans on the door the slides down slowly curling up, the jar still in her arms. "so that's it. All we are when we die are ashes."

Ruby stays like that until morning and Yang walks to her room and knocks on the door. Ruby stands and sets the jar on the nightstand next to her bed. She then walks over to the door and opens it to see Yang. Yang studies her sister's face to see her cheeks were stained from the tears. Yang shakes her head and pulls her sister into a tight hug. Ruby smiles and little needing the comfort from her sister.
