"Thousands of years ago, two other races ruled the earth; The Draconem and the Tomme-Mænd. Each had mutual respects for the other, however they hated the other regardless. The two warred frequently, until both races disappeared. The Draconem were Idealistic, innovative, and very eager to create. They also had the bewildering power to manifest the body of a four legged dragon; On the other hand, the Tomme Mænd were a race of realists. They would focus on their current problems, and how to solve them. Besides being geniuses, they had the mystic power to turn their bodies into hippogryphs." I take a deep breath as I switch the slides. "Not much else was discovered about them, even during an expedition conducted by Dr.Elijah and Dr.Marielle Devren." I switch the slide to the photo of my parents standing at the door way of what seemed to be a palace. I clear my throat.
"The remains of a giant city in a Europe were reported to the two and so they went to investigate. In between trips they'd tell me the stories that they had found while searching the ruins. One in particular story was about the Two Contraries, the original Draconem and Tomme Mænd. They had been born to fight each other by two wizards in ancient times. Long story short the turned into humans and hooked up, there for starting the two races." The class laughs at my last comment, but Mr.Redrew gave me a questioning glance. I chuckle and continue reading.
"However, the fun times didn't last that long. One day I received a letter that my parents had disappeared and I was given a check to find a smaller place to live, which sucks since my 17th birthday was only two days away. So, that's where I am today." I tear up, but shake away the feeling and give a bow. The crowd of students applaud me and Mr.Redrew nods in approval.
"Wonderful work Ms.Devren, your sure adept with the findings of your parents. But I guess that's the reason of the report, isn't it?" I nod and give him a gleeful smile. "You may now return to your desk, just turn in the report." I return to my desk and more students go to the front of the room to give their reports, and I just reflect my past life and memories.
