Briskly walking down the hall, the black and white world flying by, I crave the color others describe. Smiling as I pass new faces. I can't wait to see the beautiful trees and flowers. I want to know what red and yellow appear, one can dream can't they? Leaving the office hallway, I bump into a small body. The body shrieks and the papers she was carrying go flying, they flutter around her and land softly on the floor. Stumbling over my words,"I'm so sorry! Are you okay?
"It's alright, can you help me up?" Her angelic voice replies.
"Of course, of course!" I quickly pull her back to her feet. As I grasp her hand the world suddenly overflows with color. The halls transform from black and white to an amazing beige color.
  "Do you see that?"
"What are you talking about?" She questions confused.
Stuttering I ask,"Wait you don't see the color, but how?"
"I'm sorry but you can't be my soulmate, I only hours left to live," she replies forlornly,"and I lied, I see the brilliant color, I didn't want to get your hopes up."
I hold back tears as I gasp out,"Well we still have time right?"
"You, you mean you still want me?" She stutters.
"But of course, even if it is only a day you're still my soul mate," I reassure her.
"Well I guess I better introduce myself, I'm Abigal but most call me Abby," she, Abby, replies.
"I'm cash," I introduce hugging her,"would you like to go to dinner?"
"But of course!"
We head to dinner. Over dinner we share our life stories. Abby is the most beautiful women, with her amazing shiny honey brown hair and her red lipstick. Reaching across the table I grasp her hand. She smiles shyly and looks down. Suddenly she squeezes my hand and mouths 'I love you'. The color fades from the world, the last color I see is her beautiful red lips. Her last breath passes through her body and she collapses out of her chair. I fall next to her and wrap my arms around her, tears streaming down my face. I grab the knife on the table and slowly drag it along the soft skin of my wrist. As the blood pools around my arm I lie next to her and grasp her cold hand. As the last breath leaves my body I am blinded by a brilliant white light. Stepping through the light I am greeted with a beautiful meadow with red, purple, blue and yellow wild flowers. Flowing green grass, and a cool breeze blows my hair back from my face. Scanning the field my heart stops as I see Abby standing their smiling and reaching towards me. I take her hand and follow her to the small cabin. Breathing deeply I smile and lovingly say to Abby," I missed you and love you. Please don't leave me."
"I won't Cash, I won't," she replies just as lovingly.
