Chapter 1

A/N: In this story, there was a great war that happened but didn't occur in Beacon Academy. This got Yang to get her arm cut off (she's not very handy now) and Weiss's family taking her back to Atlas. Blake and Ruby are the only ones here though.

It was really just another normal day in Beacon for Blake and Ruby. After everything had occured, they were the only ones still together in their cozy little Beacon Dorm. Ruby impatiently waited for her faunus friend to arrive and bit her lip, playing with her hair with worry.

No type of cookie, not even chocolate chip could calm her down. She really wanted Weiss to come back from Atlas, and her sister to come back being the same bouncy girl he always knew. As soon as she heard footsteps, Ruby jumped to her feet, opening the oak door, to see Blake standing there.

"What's wrong?" Ruby asked, concerned. "Where's Weiss?"

Ruby looked around the corridor over Blake's shoulder in hope of seeing the white-haired girl, only to find no one.

"She's...she's left...her dad dragged her to Atlas.." Blake swallowed hard. "Ruby, she's gone."

"No..." Ruby said, her silver eyes going pale. "What...no...nononono...what about Team RWBY, Blake!? What about it?"

"I don't know Ruby..." Blake said, rubbing her temples. "This is all happening way too fast..."

Blake averted her attention around the room, while taking a step forward and her eyes scanning around the dorm room.

"Wait...where's Yang?" Blake asked, her faunus ears twitching in worry. "Ruby?"

"She left...she just...needs to find herself..." Ruby said with a choke. "I don't know...what to do now...I've always depended on Yang and my friends."

Blake smiled softly. Ruby was so innocent at times. She patted Ruby's head just like how Yang used to.

"Look, Ruby, I-"

"HEADS UP!" A yell came.

A dark purple hole appeared between two bunk beds and a girl with red-like hair tumbled into the room. She spun around in the carpet before landing face first on the floor.

"Oow..." she groaned.

She stumbled to her feet, and shook her head, dusting off all the dirt on her clothes. She took out her phone quickly and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness it isn't cracked!" she sighed. She turned toward the two girls in the Beacon uniforms and cocked an eyebrow in confusion. "Uuhhh...who are you?"

"Umm..." Blake began. "Maybe you should answer the question first."

The girl slapped her forehead as if realizing something. "Ugh! Duh! Dimensionator hit me while I was trying to film something for the Ladyblog! I must've gotten into one of his portals...damn..."

She turned to the two other girls, who's faces were scrunched up in confusion.

"I'm Alya Cesaire, proud founder of the Ladyblog!" Alya said, striking a pose.

"Uhh..." Ruby began, "Umm...never heard of you? Are you one of the exchange students or..."

"ExCUSE me!" Alya said, offended. "How can you have not heard of me!?"

"Sorry," Blake said with a sarcastic eyeroll. "Listen, Ayla,"

"Alya!" Alya emphasised.

"This is a dangerous world, I don't know if your semblance is the ability to teleport or whatever, but finding Grimm is-"
