Your breathed out as you smiled, your breath leaving a puff of white, cold air on a cold winter's day. You touched the barks of frozen trees, sliding your hand across it as it felt as cold as ice, but you're other hand, felt warmer than ever, as you held your hero's hand. You giggled as you walked through the park now covered in snow, your boots leaving snowy tracks behind you as you continued your way on. The snowflakes gently touched your nose, causing you to get startled, but soon smile in delight as you blew it right off. As you two were having a peaceful yet delightful moment of silence. You continued walking until something caught your eye, it shined under the sun's light in a distance, you recognized it to be a lake, a frozen one to be exact. "Sonic! Look!" You said, pointing at the direction of the lake, as you were smiling in excitement. "You wanna go skating? Don't you?" He replied, a smirk appearing on his face as he gave your hand a light squeeze, as he picked you up. "You can see right through me." You smiled as you wrapped your arms around his neck, giving him a quick peck as he ran to the lake getting there in no time. You were practically jumping inside with happiness and excitement as you slowly yet surely got into the frozen lake without slipping as Sonic joined you soon enough. You were quite an amateur at this, but that didn't stop you. You held onto Sonic's hand, holding it as you pushed yourself with your feet, almost tripping in the process. "This is your first time, isn't it?" He teased, a light chuckle escaping his lips as you pouted, a ruby red blush painted your cheeks in embarrassment. "Yes...do you have a problem with that?" Once again, you received a chuckle as you felt hands grip your waist, pushing you forward as you kept your hands in a lateral position, the blush on your cheeks turning a dark, tomato red. "S-Sonic," you started, your arms lowering ever so slowly, without you even realizing it. "Wh-what are y-you doing?" You asked, attempting to take a glance at the hedgehog, a smile appearing on his face as he went beside you. "Helping you skate of course." He replied, sending you a smile, the same smile you loved so much. "Well you did seem pretty helpless." He teased once again, you pouted and started lightly hitting him, not wanting to hurt him anytime soon, I mean, you could pack a punch but, you as his girlfriend, can't do that UNLESS he does something not even stupidity can compare to. You continued skating til you got your balance, soon taking a hold of one his hands as you held it tight, his other hand still firmly wrapped around your waist to keep you from falling. "I love you (Y/n).." He said out of the blue, with you looking at him as a pastel pink blush brushed your cheeks, since the tomato red one was long gone. "I-I love you too Sonic.." You replied, as you both stopped and leaned in.
*RING* *RING*
You woke up, as you grabbed your phone on the nightstand, looking at the empty space behind you, you delicately touched it as tears formed in your eyes, missing his bright, emerald green eyes full of joy and happiness, no longer in sight. You snoozed the alarm as you hugged your pillow and cried on it, trying to relieve yourself of the grief and sorrow, a little hedgie came in, getting up your bed with her tiny limbs as she crawled towards you. "Mommy, is everything okay?" Her high-pitched 5-year old voice spoke as you removed the pillow and carried her as you let her sit on your lap. "I just miss Daddy is all sweetheart, thank you for caring." You said as you wiped your tears, kissing your daughter's forehead as she snuggled into you. Your house was full of family photos and photos from when you were you and Sonic were dating, which always brought back the hole in your life. Tears flowed down from your face once again, "His plan was finally a success." You said, remembering the dreaded memory. You heard someone come in, it was Shadow, your boyfriend, who (Your Child's Name) was very fond of. "You okay?" He asked, rubbing your back as (Y/C/N) was now taking a nap in your arms. You looked up at him and nodded as he frowned, sitting next to you. "It's about Sonic, isn't it?" A few minutes came by as you slowly nodded, turning away from the hedgehog. You then felt him slowly move towards you, arms wrapping around you as you leaned on his chest, it never felt the same without your true beloved. You closed your eyes and remembered the dreaded scene flash right before your eyes.

"You're not laying a finger on her Eggman!" He shouted, growling as he held you behind him. "HO HO HO HO HO HO!" The dreaded laugh, echoed through the empty field, you swore it was so loud it could be heard from miles away (That just gave me an idea, Tails: MILES!! AWAY!!!!! *flies away*)
He spindashed into the MegaBot Eggman had built, he made sure to get the fight in a place outside of the city, and you dragged Sonic along with you, causing his plan to take action. Metal clanging with his attack was heard throughout, as blood soon dripped on the snow, it came from Sonic, as he panted heavily, getting ready for another spindash. Eggman smirked as with one swift wave of a hand, a gunshot was heard. You gasped and tears filled your eyes, you saw your beloved fall down on the soft snow, blood pouring out of his chest, a straight bullseye to the heart, you ran to him and dropped on your knees and cried, hugging him close as you continued sobbing, knowing he wouldn't last long at this state. "D-don't worry! We can get an ambulance an-" you were shushed by Sonic's bloody hand, you payed no mind to the blood that was now on your lips, knowing that didn't matter at that moment. "(Y/n)...it's okay, I won't last long, I know I won't, so don't waste your time on me, every second counts and you're just wasting it on me." More tears came streaming down your face, "Don't say that! It's not true!! You're-! You're-! You're gonna live...I know you will..." You gripped the scarf around him, your tears mixing with the blood on his chest, falling on the snow beneath you. He held your chin and brought you to his lips, his soft lips you knew you couldn't touch any longer, you eagerly kissed back as he held the back of your head, he pulled away and looked at you, a smile of happiness and sadness combined, he gave you his joyous smile, one of comfort and happiness. "You're gonna be okay...! Shadow will take care of you..." He said, you once again kissed him, he kissed back once again and held your chin and pulling you closer, with all the strength he had left. And with that, the pressure on your lips weakened, the hand on yor chin falling on his body, his whole body went limp, and that was when you knew he was gone....you cried your heart out and hugged him close, his body warmth no more as his skin was as cold as the ice beneath you, Eggman was as good as gone, as you just stayed there, hugging him close.

You remembered the day perfectly, you remembered after they had found you, you found the hidden engagement ring somewhere in between his scarf, you were pregnant with his child, being one month pregnant at the time. And here you are with your beautiful little girl, and your companion, Shadow. You looked at the diamond ring Sonic was supposed to give you, and held it close, hearing a faint whisper.
