The Eclipses

Chapter 1

 It all started out as a normal day. The sun was shining. The music was playing through the radio. Mom and dad were cooking and preparing food for all of us. While I was play with the little monster that just happened to be my kid brother. But then in a blink of an eye it all changed.

Oops it appears i'm getting ahead of myself. My name is Lunar Light, I know, stupid name right? But everyone calls me Luna. My parents thought it was a good idea to name me that because I was born during an unexpected lunar eclipse, that and the fact that I wasn't supposed to survive after being born premature. But here I am, still hate the name though. Another downside to my name is my last name. The Light family back in the 1800's people believed that my ancestors were witches and the townspeople burned half of family by trapping them inside their own house before burning it down. But my great great great how ever many greats it is was able to run away and changed her name for awhile before moving back into her old family home after having it rebuilt. And I got off topic again oops. Oh well. My moms name is Elizabeth Light, but people call her Liz for short. She's the best doctor this state has ever seen. She's 5"6 with long raven black hair and green eyes, she's also pretty tan . And she married my dad Anthony Light but everyone calls him Tony for short. He is 6'0 has dirty blond hair with brown eyes, huge muscles and is very tan from training in the sun for so long. He is an engineer but he used to be a physical trainer for the army and thought all of the weapons training and hand-to-hand combat. They met in school and were sweethearts, dad being 2 years older had to wait for mom to graduate, but as soon as she did they got married. 5 years later I was born then 5 years after that the little monster was born. His name is Damian Light my younger brother who believes he is always right. Like our father he has dirty blond hair. While I have our mothers raven black hair. We are both tall and are very flexible and have a fair amount of medical knowledge as well. We were both born on the day of an eclipse but how I was born on a Lunar eclipse, Damian was born on a solar eclipse. Another difference between me and Damian and our parents is mine and Damian's eyes. Damians eye color is a crystallized blue, and if you look in his eyes, his eyes looked like they have cracked. Mine however are not like Damian's or green like my mom's eyes, or brown like my dad's eyes. No my eyes are a bright scarlet that if you look into them when I'm mad they look like there are moving with an unknown and strong power behind them. To keep people from freaking out at our eyes me and Damian are always wearing contacts which I truly hate to wear. And there I go again rambling I really need to stop doing that.

Anyways today is a very special day for me because today is the day that I turn 16.
