Heat rushed through Harry's body as he stood at the front door, his eyes tightly closed. He could hear the shower going upstairs. That would be his mum. This is what it was like every single day. Today was probably a good day because his mum wasn't forcing him out of the door for once. It's not like she understood. Harry wasn't going through the 'I don't want to go to school' phase. Harry was terrified of leaving the house.
Nothing's going to happen. Nothing's going to happen. Nothing's going to happen.
Sweat lined Harry's palms as he listened to a car drive past. He paused.
One. Two. Three.
After taking a deep breath, he pulled the door open and stepped outside. Before he could even comprehend himself and his surroundings, he began to walk towards school. Luckily, he lived merely five minuets away. But it felt like a life time. His body had begun to tremble with every step. He liked to leave early so there were less people around, less chances of getting bumped into, less chances of getting spoken to or anything happening. However there was also less chance of anyone being able to stop a potential murderer or kidnapper on the streets. Everyday seemed to be a lose lose situation for Harry.
He stopped at the school gate and listened for a moment. No other students seemed to be here - some of the teachers probably weren't even here at half seven in the morning. But they all knew about Harry's condition. He liked it when it was this quite; he could find his favourite seat in the library before anyone else and have an hour or so to start on an assignment before the other social outcasts made their way to the library. Harry knew they were harmless, but they still made his skin crawl.
"Morning, Harry." The caretaker spoke as he held the door open for Harry, stepping to the side to ensure there was enough room for Harry to comfortably get past. They normally didn't let students into the school until around half eight, making sure everyone was in lessons by nine. But the head teacher had taken pity on Harry, he gave him privileges to other students. Harry wasn't sure if he necessarily liked it or not, but he couldn't care less right now. He just wanted to get into the building and away from the vulnerability of the outside world.
"Good morning." Harry whispered as he held his bag straps tighter, smiling thankfully at the caretaker before wiping his feet on the mat. He didn't care if he had to wade his way through water or mud to get to school, he just wanted to get to the safety of the school as soon as possible. Fortunately, for both Harry and the caretaker, Harry had only stepped in a couple of puddles on his way here, so he dried his shoes off as much as possible before continuing his usual routine of heading straight to the library.
So far, today had been a good day for Harry.

This is kind of shitty right now but give it a chance.
I'm going to publish the first couple of chapters and if no one reads them I'll just delete this story.
Votes and comments really motivate me so they're always appreciated.
Question of the day: do you have any weird phobias?
