Chapter Two
Mack's POV
I wake up the next day after the long holiday weekend I had and get ready for school. I shower and lather my hair with Head and Shoulders Almond flavor shampoo and conditioner, and quickly wash my body and rinse my hair before rinsing my body and turning the water off. I grab my towel and dry off and look into the steamed up mirror. I grab the hand towel from the rack and wipe the steam from the mirror and look at my reflection.
My face is shiny and wet but I don't see a blemish in sight, which is good because I have a habit of picking at my face if I see a pimple. My eyes are blue, more like an ice blue, like my heart. My lips are full, my ears are small, a bit too small in my opinion, but nothing I can change about that. My hair is long, black, and straight and comes to the top of my butt, my best feature. My breasts are nonexistent and sometimes I wish I had more of them. My height, just like my breasts is nonexistent as well, I'm 5 foot even, so I'm super short. I make faces at my reflection and go into my room with the towel around myself.
I quickly get dressed in my usual attire, my hair completely straight and down to my butt with my bangs on my forehead. Little to hardly any make-up, mostly just eyeliner, mascara, and some Carmex on my lips. Black fishnet long sleeved shirt, a black t-shirt over it, black skirt with black tights on my legs, and my black combat boots, to finish the look I had my black plastic rimmed glasses on.
I walk downstairs and smile at my mother. She hands me my coffee container I take to school with me everyday, just the way I like it. Its getting closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas so the new pumpkin spice creamer is in it and I'm in love. If I don't have my coffee in the morning I get bitchy. "Thanks mum, I'll see you after school." I say taking my to go coffee container from her and kissing her cheek, on the way grabbing my book bag.
I walk to school, its not that far from my house. My high school is two stories, red brick, basically what a typical school looks like. Though mine has two different gyms, and a brand new cafeteria. I don't go in yet, and wait against the building for my friend Eleanor. Eleanor is tall, with wavy blond hair, green eyes, skinny, and if you call her Eleanor, she'll chew you out like you wouldn't believe. She's feisty, and goes by Elle. She shows up in this frilly blue dress and I wrinkle my nose at her, I'll never understand her fashion sense.
"Elle what are you wearing?" I ask scrutinizing her clothing choices.
She twirls around and smiles, a brilliant smile, looking at me. I don't know what she sees in me. I'm so broody, and she's always so happy, it amazes me as to why she can be so happy all the time. "You don't like? I love your skirt but do you always have to wear fishnets?" She asks me raising one of her perfectly plucked eyebrows.
I nod and sip my coffee. "As a matter of fact I do." I reply and start to walk into the school. Before school starts everyone is hauled up in the cafeteria, they even close both doors so students can't go to their lockers. I head to our usual table and talk about random stuff before the bell rings. I must have looked up at precisely the right time because everyone immediately stops talking and stare at the high school doors.
It was seven very attractive guys. They're all tall, probably over six feet each. And all strikingly handsome. I quickly look away trying not to stare like everyone else, I mean it is rude. I try to strike up a conversation with Elle but she isn't paying attention. I click my fingers over her face to get her attention to no avail, she's staring like everyone else.
You know the prickly feeling on the back of your neck? I felt that feeling and turned to see one of the guys looking right at me. On second thought they were all looking at me. The one who catches my attention though is the one with the red hair. I don't know what caught my attention more, his bright green eyes that were looking right at me, or the intricate tattoos that were right under his eye and his neck. I quickly looked away trying to hide my blush that I hoped no one saw.
