This story takes place years after season 6, the cast of Chicago Fire had kids of their own.
After most of the firefighters retiring from 51 and raising kids of their own to become firefighters and paramedics of the Chicago Fire Department,all ending up in 51. With the position of battalion chief being taken over by an experienced battalion chief's son you could say things would be different. Severide, went into fire investigation and has done a pretty fine job of it settling down with Kidd and becoming married. Dawson, is now a paramedic field chief and settled down with Casey works at the academy both are happily married. Boden is at the age where he sits in front of the TV drinking whiskey and thinking about the good old days usually with Mouch or Hermann.
