today my dad and i move in with blake richardson, and his mum, soulla.

blake's mum and my dad met about two years ago, and now they're about to be living together.

his mum seems really kind, and motherly, and blake, well, blake is just bloody gorgeous.

there's pretty much never a moment when i don't want to run my fingers through his silky hair, or find a reason to make him smile, but i often refrain from doing both and i kinda avoid him.

why? because he's my step-brother and i don't want my feelings to develop further, because, 1). he most probably doesn't like me back, 2). i highly doubt anyone would appreciate siblings, even step, dating, and 3). i don't think his fans would be very impressed.

i've met his band mates and they're super sweet and funny, but i'd still go for blake over them, which kinda sucks.

"hi." i said with a small smile, and hugged soulla, before blake extended his arms to me and i gratefully, yet reluctantly, hugged him.

"hello, sis." he grinned and i smiled back, but internally sighed, he doesn't think of me as more than someone he's basically forced to be friends with.

i took my stuff up to my room and collapsed on my king-sized bed, exhaling heavily and immediately grabbing my phone, like usual, scrolling through my social medias for about an hour, until the smell of food reached me and i bounded down the stairs for supper.

blake and i sat opposite our parent, but next to each other, and i subconsciously sat on the outer edge of my seat as we ate, to prevent temptation.

after dinner, dad pulled me to one side, "i know you've said this before, but how are you finding them?"

"they're lovely, dad. if you're happy i am." i smiled.

"but.. you and blake.. neither really seem to be making an effort." he frowned.

"we've only just moved in together, it's weird having another teenager in the house when you're not used to it." i said, dad nodding, content with my answer.

"okay, but try, yeah?" he encouraged and i nodded, "okay, i love you."

"you too, dad." i laughed, before going upstairs to my room.
