CHAPTER 4

"Oh thank god you're awake!" The tall person said while she flopped against a tree. The stylish one rose from the ground with her hand on her head and her face scrunched up like she just licked a lemon. "I-i saved you," the tall one confidentiality said. "A tree knocked you out cold, and rolled on your chest, I managed to remover it off." The stylish one stared at her blankly to process things. "I touched your boob but i got the log off," it was like the tall one was just trying to make small talk with a rock, but the rock could breathe. "I'm Mea..." She said whilst holding her hand out hoping she'll respond. Mea had frizzy dark hair, she was really tall, she had a dark sense of humour people tend to like, her voice was in the middle of really low and really high, she didn't seem to have much impact from the crash besides a cut on her left arm and leg.
Silence fell between them, and Mea still seemed to have her hand stuck out for the stylish one, communication was obviously not successful right now. "Do you speak English? Yeah?... No?... A little?..." The stylish person's head rose and nodded. Mea snatched her hand away and looked to the side. The stylish person looked like she was in shock. Mea scraped down the tree next to her. She took a closer look on her; her left eye was locked shut, and bruised all that half of her face, her long, dark, scruffy hair covered the majority of her face so the bruising partly hidden. She bent her long legs up against her chest and gazed with the one eye she had onto the ground. Her abused hand rose up in front of her face and she wafted it side to side, back and forth on her left eye.
"I-i can't see it" the stylish one said panicky, the shock in her face was terrific. The stylish one tried to open her eye, she tried and tried with all her might; but failed every time. "I can't o-open it!" She cuffed her damaged hands around her mouth and started to cry. The stylish one, unwillingly grabbed Mea and hugged her, probably for comfort. Mea went along with it. "Hey it's not that bad, it's just jammed together, it could just be a bad black eye." She got no reply. Mea was stuck on helpful things to say to her, she mumbled "At least you can let your inner pirate come out..." She assumed she didn't hear it over the amount of crying she made. "Hey hey hey..." She calmly said, "We'll get through this okay, will survive this and we'll get home."
Moments later, the stylish one sat back up and gave up on crying. She sniffled a few times and smiled.
"You're right..." She choked, it was like she was trying to make an effort to be positive. "We'll get out of her alive, and nothing will go wrong." Okay now she sounded weird, like she was trying to tell the truth but failing to do so.
"That's the spirit!" Mea joyfully spoke. Mea stood up in front of her again and enthusiastically threw her hand at her, so she can hoist her up. "So how about we get up and search the area for treasure, you know gizmos and gadgets and what not." She lost her tone slightly, "It'll be an adventure."
The stylish one smiled again as like she made a miraculous recovery.
"Sure, why not." She grabbed her hand and Mea launched her up. "Im Hannah. Nice to meet you Mea."

The walked for miles, there were no where near any sign of life, human life at least. They manage to work their way around huge ravines and jagged hills, they were more than exhausted, they were beaten down.
"So, so far we have managed to not die" Mea said while trotting along the rainforest. Hannah was in immense pain all the left side. The right side was fine though, the crash must of thrown her on her left side. Due to all the walking, the two bonded like crazy, they found many things in common and they happened to share the same dark humour. But the walking made it more hard for Hannah, hannah's broken side was starting to give up on her, to the stage where she wasn't just limping, but collapsing every other step. They walked a couple of meters, they pain was getting stronger, Hannah was finding it hard to concentrate on the path. She collapsed in Mea's arms and they stared into each other's eyes for a while, and then Hannah noticed something. "Oh my god... We both have brown eyes." Mea smiled and continued to stare into her eyes like they where glued. Mea hesitated before placing Hannah back on her right foot. They walked some more until it was getting darker,
"We should really find shea-" Mea's foot suddenly fell through the ground and she bounced into a river.
"Oh well done Hannah you got me wet again..." Mea said whilst trying to hold in a tsunami of laughter.
"These are jokes are coming faster every time" Hannah said whilst smirking. A rustling sound screamed amongst the trees and bushes. Hannah staggered down the slope to the river and Mea looked around curiously. For split seconds silence came and the forest started to look eerie. The echo of the rustling came from behind the darkest, thickest, biggest tree here. the noise was cut off. They crept their way forward, Mea staggering behind Hannah. Silence was everywhere, besides the occasional rustling in the bushes.
"Oh thank god i found someone."
A fairly large and tall person poked out the bushes and spoke. The person entered the river ditch rather stubbornly. "It's about time my plan worked" they said again this time grabbing Hannah's hand and forcing her to shake, and then proceeded to Mea's. "I'm Mandy."
She spoke in a posh tone, " please to meet you."
"I'm Mea and this is-." Mandy interrupted.
"I've made a camp we can all perhaps fit into, it's like the best of the best out here."  Mea and Hannah started to walk to what she called 'the best camp'. Mandy managed to make herself the centre of attention as she spoke of how she survived. "And you see i built myself a little makeshift shelter, and i fire but i can't light it." She talked and talked and talked. Her voice was getting really annoying already, there was no room to speak, she wouldn't let you her smug voice over powered you. She didn't even let Hannah say her name.
"All in half a day can you believe it! Good thing i learnt how to do this at that... What do you call it? YMC- something like that." Hannah collapsed again, this time in the opposite side of Mea. Her bad arm crashed on a horizontal log hanging up about the same height as her shoulder. "You see what I would've done there, would be soak it with a damp cloth." She didn't even attempt to help her back up, no poor Hannah had to hoist herself up, with the help of Mea. Completely ignoring Hannah's struggle, Mandy pushed back some leaves and bushes to reveal a extremely small camp. "You see folks, i did this all by myself." Hannah looked at this pile of rubble that created her 'shelter', it was simply just two large rocks with a couple of small logs over the top covered in leaves.
"Home Sweet Home."
It could only fit half a body in and you would certainly not be able to move when sleeping. Just outside the opening of the rubble shelter was a ditch with sticks in a triangle formation, not lit, probably not going to either. The whole camp was surrounded by shin high flat rocks with leaves on top, it looked as tho you could accidentally trip over them and knock it down to shreds.
"Well this is, great..." Mea mumbled to Hannah. The blank look in both Hannah's and Mea's face gave their opinions away.
