As she drifted off to sleep after drinking her hot cocoa and lighting the fireplace she made a list in her head. She made a list of what not to dream of, but it did not work. She woke up smelling smoke while feeling very hot and sweaty. She coughed and could not stop coughing. She tried to get out of the house, but she could not. The doors were stuck and the windows were broken. At this moment she realized she was trapped. She started to feel her throat closing and her vision becoming blury. She was trying to find a way out. She felt the floor getting weaker and weaker by the minute.
As she was taking a step she fell through the floor and inside she knew if she didn't get her leg out of the floor she would die. The flames started to close in on her and she could start to smell the scent of her burning hair. She started to feel herself falling through the floor more. She could taste the bitterness from the smoke. She started to cry and finally just gave up.
Then just minutes later she fell through the floor fully and hit her head off the cold basement floor. As blood was pouring from her head she could see a bright light and started to hope that it would be help.
She then up woke and only moments had past since she had fallen asleep. She believed it was all a dream. This was until she looked at the floor and saw there was a big black spot where she had fallen through the floor, "was it a dream or real". She will never know.
The very next day she could feel herself getting hotter and hotter. She felt herself going mad and everyone started to notice that she had burns and scars all over her body. Everyone one around her feared she was hurting herself and worried about her sanity.
After this so called dream her life was over. She was locked up in a mental hospital. She eventually died. They say that her lungs were black and her throat looked like she had died from suffication do to smoke inhilation.
Her spirit still lives on in the flames of every single fire. She turns the fires in dreams into real ones. After the girl had this dream she said that she always felt cold inside but hot on the outside. May her soul rest in peace for she was a lovely lady before any of this happened. But as I said her story is true and it only started with her dream journal saying these exact words "As I drifted off to sleep after my hot coco and lighting the fireplace I made a mental list in my head of what not to dream of but that did not work." Goodbye, sweet dreams...pray you don't dream of fire.
