Horror In The First Degree

The Fog

                A girl was on her way home and decided to take a shortcut through the forest. As she walked into the forest on her way home from school, a sudden fog took hold over the earth. She started to suffocate and pass out but when she woke up she was somewhere that you can only go to in your dreams. It was bright but dark and beautiful but harmful. As she got up and started to wander around she started to see and remember dreams and memories from when she was in her mother's stomach to last night's nightmare. She started to remember everything and started to see everything from her past. She remembered her mother and father's voices, what they looked like, and what their personalities were like. Before this, she was having trouble remembering her family after her parents were killed in a car wreck.

           She was living with her grandmother and grandfather but it wasn't the same as her real parents. But as she was remembering every happy, sad, and upsetting feeling and memory she started to hear sirens and she saw a lite and then black. She had apparently just fallen into a river and hit her head and was now in the hospital. The doctor said she hit her head badly but was now stable. As he left the room she started to get dizzy and, then she saw a man with a knife come in and cut her cheek open. He then knocked her out with one terrifying punch. When she awoke the doctor was stitching her cheek shut and asked her what happened after he left. She said she felt dizzy and how a strange man came into her room and cut her cheek with a knife and then punched her. He then asked her to describe the man. She said black hair, hazel eyes, a t-shirt, blue jeans, and was covered in scars. After she told the doctor he called the police. Now they were starting to think that she didn't fall into the river but that she was pushed.

         She was more scared than ever. She had police guarding her hospital door. She saw the man enter again and the police didn't do anything. He pulled out his knife once again and slit her leg open and then once more knocked her out. She awoke once more and the doctor was stitching up her leg and wrapping it. The doctor asked what happened and if the same man attacked her. She said that he cut her leg and knocked her out and that it was the same man. The police officers confirmed that he followed some of the descriptions but said that he was her brother. She told the police and her doctor that her brother was killed in the car crash that her parents were killed in, and he was ten and that he didn't look like the twenty-year-old man who kept attacking her.

      After this, the police officers were told to be in her room and to stay in no matter what. After an hour or two had passed the man came in and stabbed the two police officers in their throats and they instantly died. As the man came closer, and closer to her she asked him why he wanted her dead and why he kept hurting her. When he was right next to her he looked into her eyes and said, "Off with her head". After he said this he cut her head off and placed it on backward. He was never caught, they say he just vanished. But people always say whenever you walk into a foggy forest you never come out the same, you always seem a little bit backward.
