Her mother burst into the room, a panicked expression written on her face as she looked at her daughter.

"Amelia, come with me." She whispered. The sounds of glass breaking and screams of agony were heard throughout the hallway as they ran to the study.

Her father stood there, cuts and bruises covered his body as he came through the door. The older man looked at his daughter, the one tiny thing that had changed his life for the better.

His little girl.

"Hide her, quickly Athena." The girl's father told his wife. Putting their youngest child into a hidden cupboard, she placed a kiss on her head.

"You are so special Amelia and remember that your father and I love you so much. When the time comes, call upon lā mícø (the ancestors) and you will have light." Her mother said.

Closing the door, the little 6 year old girl had no idea why her mother would say that but she did know that her parents wouldn't be here when this was all over.

Kissing passionately once more, they faced the door and were met with the sight of Kronos, the demon that hated all things good.

He had no love. No compassion. He was an empty soul.

"Athena, Mako. It's so nice to see you." He taunted the two.

"Why are you doing this?" Athena asked, confused and hurt. Her family members had been slaughtered in front of her.

Without answering, he approached Mako and ripped the man's heart out of his chest, sending the man to the ground.

Rage filled the grieving mate of Mako but before she could do anything and call upon her powers, Kronos had her by her throat and against a wall.

"You are abominations. Creating hybrids of two bloods that should have never been accepted." He sneered to her.

He took his hand and placed it on her chest before doing the same thing to Athena. Blood splattered against the walls and her lifeless body fell to the ground.

"There shall be no more light."

Little did Kronos know, he had left a witness. The daughter of the couple that he had slaughtered had seen the whole thing and she remembered his face.
