Hello and Welcome everybody! A quick heads up for the following story: This story may seem innocent at first, but it takes a dark turn later in the story, if you don't like "scary stories" i advise you don't read this story and go to the next story (I'm putting an " on scary stories because i don't feel like this is exactly a scary story, its very mild to be honest, but that's probably by the fact that I like to watch some horror movies and horror series, i honestly think that it being scary apply's to some people, but i don't think that this is the kind of story that would give you nightmares). I wrote this story in my English lesson and i loved how it turned so much that i just had to share it with you guys! I hope you enjoy the story as much as i enjoyed writing it.

I am in the middle of the crowd in the streets in New York City, so many people in one place, trying to get to their jobs or going to meet up with someone, such as me. I'm heading off to my favorite café to meet up with Tracy, she has been my friend since Junior high. Me and Tracy always go to Barney's café to meet up and drink some coffee. We usually meet at Barney's because, despite it being New York City and its being extremely full, people don't notice the little coffee shop in the middle of the city.

While I'm lost in my own thoughts and making my way to Barney's I spot a blur of red and white. I know what you're thinking right now "But Mavey, In the middle of the streets of New York, don't you see lots of red and white everywhere?!". Yes, indeed there is a lot of people and things wearing white and red in the middle of the streets, actually a few minutes ago I saw a guy using a The Cat in the Hat hat. But, I don't know, I just... felt myself, attracted to that red and white blur. It was a strange feeling, and not in a good way...

"vey... Mavey... MaVEY! MAVEY!!!!" I think I might have blacked out when I was making my way to the white and red blur, because suddenly I found Tracy in front of me, shaking my body frantically with a worried expression on her face. I blinked, trying to come back to the real world.

"...Tracy? Wh-" My sentence was cut short by my friend slapping me in the face. "OW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" some people glared at me, making me realize that I still was in the middle of the street.

"Look, sorry if I suddenly find my best friend walking around New York like a zombie without a brain, looking like she just came out of a Circus, where they hypnotized you. When, if you do not recall, were supposed to meet me at Barney's instead!" Tracy whisper yelled at me. "What where you doing anyway?"

"I...uhhhhhh... was looking for you?" she gave me a look as if saying 'Really? That's your best excuse?'. "Look, it was nothing, okay? I just, got really distracted and was lost in my own thoughts."

"Fine! I won't push you on to the subject... for now." As she said that we started heading towards Barney's that was now just a few blocks away.

*

As Tracy and I go inside Barney's, we take a seat in our favorite spot, which is in the corner, far away from the window and where its dark with scented candles. Tracy ordered some red velvet cake and a large latte, while I order a strawberry donut and a large cup of Chocolate Macchiato.

We talk as we wait for our food, our conversations are usually consisted of Tracy going on and on about her relationship with her boyfriend William or just William generally. Tracy and Will have been dating for a few years already and just recently moved into an apartment with the perfect view of the city. What I truly don't understand is how Will hasn't popped the big question yet, I've asked him once about it, but he keeps saying that for one, Tracy is not ready for marriage and two, that in their relationship is still very new. And sorry if I'm being rude, but for one, Tracy has been day dreaming about her future with Will for months, and two, THEY HAVE BEEN DATING FOR 7 YEARS!!!!

While Tracy was still talking about Will and my mind complaining of how they already act as if they were a married couple and the fact that Will is just being stubborn little child wanting keep his sock to be a free elf. I turn my head to the window look at the people walking by as if the coffee shop doesn't even exist, but when I look at the window there is a brown haired man, using a beanie and a shirt that are red and white, he also has this pair of deep black mischievous eyes that were staring right back at me. Wait... is that, Waldo? No, its probably some creep cosplaying as Waldo.

"Mavey! Your spacing out again! What are you looking at?" Tracy says, snapping me out of my daze. As I focus at the window again I realize that there is nobody there. Huh... was that just a hallucination? But, it looked so real.

"I- uh... thought I saw something, I think I was just seeing things. But, uhh back to Will." As soon as I said his name she forgot all about what just happened and kept on talking about Will.

Soon enough our waiter comes with our coffee's and our snacks. As I look at the waiter I see him again. Same clothes and the exact same mischievous eyes staring right through my soul. I could feel his eyes just tearing my sanity bit by bit as if he is trying to bury something into the deepest parts of my brain. As I blink twice, the mischievous eyes, the brown haired guy with the red and white clothes is gone and replaced with a guy with kind eyes that are light brown, blonde hair, and wearing a white shirt with an brown apron, protecting the shirt from getting dirty.

I turn to look at Tracy and she is staring right back at me with her look that says that I was obviously 'checking him out'. I ignore her look, especially because Tracy always gets like this, hoping that some day I'll get into a relationship. As I'm about to thank him for the coffee and my donut, it happens again.

Waldo is right in front of me, and it gets worse because now when I try to blink it away, it's still there. I try to avoid him but when I turn my head to the window, there are about 40 Waldo's standing there just staring at me, and each one of them is holding onto to something. Some are holding onto a knife, others are holding baseball bats, guns, chainsaws, and even broken bottles. Then I look to the rest of the café and there are Waldo's everywhere, all staring at me with the same look in their eyes.

As I turn to Tracy, in hope that she is also seeing this and this is not some crazy hallucination taking away my sanity completely. But no, there, instead of my best friend, is Waldo, but this is not just like any of the other Waldo's, this one has one eye that is completely ink black and the other eye is normal except for the fact that its pupils are blood red. And he has the biggest Cheshire smile I've ever seen.

Suddenly, I feel a pang in the back of my head. I see as my vision turns blurry, but I can see that the Waldo that is in front of me, leans over the table and comes close to my ear.
"Waldo is everywhere, there is no escape from this horror house. Don't think for a second that you are safe..." As he whispers that into my ear, I black out. The darkness pulling me into an endless torture of nightmares.

The End.
