C H A P T E R 2

"W...what??? I... I'm in a comma?? .... what happened???!!" 

"You caught on an accident when you crossed the road with red lights."

"Then if I'm in a comma how come you're talking to me?"

"You are in the state of between life and death."

"I.. can't come back?"

"It all depends in how you make choices."

"Esther!!!" Esther's mom, Mrs. Cordelia cried out after seeing her daughter lying in the hospital bed. She hurriedly went to her daughter's side and prayed for her safety

 "Is she alright Dr. Simon??" Mrs. Cordelia asked the doctor while crying.

"Apparently, she's in a comma, we do not know when she will wake up, or if she will ever wake up. Let us only hope for the best."

As I see her lying in bed, I asked why? why of all people? 

"Why did you call out my name? do I know you?" I asked the mysterious man, I mean it is weird enough why he can only hear me and can talk to me.

"You are supposed to know me, but perhaps you have forgotten."

"Then tell me! who are you?"

"I did not expect to meet you at this time. You are too early."

" what? Wait who are you?"

"I am not fond of repeating myself."

"What do you mean by too early? please tell me who are you? Conscience?"

"Ah I am not conscience, but I am here to help, choose whether to die or live, if you choose to live, your life is mine, if you choose to die, your soul is mine."

"Does that even make sense? Why does both choices you get something that is important?"

"Your time in this world is up, I am simply helping you, now choose. If you don't then you'll be trapped here in this darkness forever, living your body and soul be rotten."

"I.. choose to live! I don't want to die this early!"

"Very well, you shall live, your life now belongs to me... We will see each other soon, remember, death itself, is beautiful."

What? that... that phrase! that's what I kept on dreaming! "Wait! who are you! do I know you?!"

Anna's POVis

It's been a month since Esther went to a comma her mother had sleepless nights and so am I. It's already 4:35 am, I stayed all night in the hospital hoping and praying that she will wake up soon. I have convinced Mrs. Cordelia to go home and have a rest while I watch over Esther in case she'll wake up

 "Wa...Wa..i...t....'' I heard Esther mumbles in her comma, her hand moved... It looks like she's reaching for something... then realization hit me. SHE'S AWAKE! I ran and called nurses to check on her. "Thank God..." I said to myself.
