Needing space for words

Lie

Being cheated hurts.

I know that, since we passed through it.

It's impossible for us
  not to experience it.

As it is inescapable from our paths.

I was deceived.

By a love with no sudden clarity.

I always knew it from the start

That it wouldn't last too long.

So, I lied.

It wasn't really my fault.

It's because their virus chained me up.

To my parents, friends, even the person I loved,

I lied to them too.

It all started,

When I was drowning in an
    ocean of unknown people.

I was trying to get found.

Yet, they're just saying that I'm only
   seeking attention.

They believed that you make richer ones,

To see and help you.

It's because you see,

Their minds,

Their appearances

Their words,

Have become so utterly fake,

That the truth blinds their eyes.

Like a vampire, opening the curtains
    in the morning,

Only to know that they'll get burned
   if they do so.
