"I CAN'T BELIEVE we are doing this," Eilidh murmured but kept following Finn towards the backside of the wedding hall. They had managed to escape the eyes of his sister, making a run away from the wedding ceremony. Moreover, he wanted to spend some time alone with Eilidh. When they reached, Finn scanned the area and grinned when his eyes spotted no one.
The soft music from the wedding hall was lingering in the air, and the night sky was lit bright, the stars coupled with the orange hue light of the wedding hall. He dropped Eilidh's hand and moved a step back, only to come closer to her.
"Let's dance."
Eilidh raised up an eyebrow in confusion and spread her arms wide. "You dragged me out of the wedding to dance here? In the backyard?"
"Believe me; it will be fun." He put his hand in his pocket and took out his iPod and earphones.
Eilidh moved beside him. They both stared at the screen as Finn scrolled through songs when she broke the silence. "You have Red Riding Hood narration saved? Really?"
Finn rolled his eyes. "Fiona kept it, not me. It doesn't matter if I allow her or not. She does what she wants to."
"I want to meet your small sister too." She kept a hand on his arm. "Isn't it weird, dancing here and missing out the wedding? Won't your sister or brother-in-law notice that we came out?"
"They will probably think we are having wedding sex." Finn gave a half shrug and smiled at Eilidh's horrified reaction.
"Seriously?"
"Yes." He stepped forward, his hand moving to the small of her back. "Forget that. You look beautiful today. I mean it," he emphasized his point and placed a small kiss at the hollow of her throat.
Eilidh put her hands in his hair. "You look good too," she said in a shaky voice.
Finn braced one hand on her waist, and with the other hand, placed one earphone in Eilidh's ear and the other in his own. Eilidh blinked, and readjusted the earphone to her need. Soon, the beats of Sugar surrounded them, and the dulcet of the soft wind enhanced the melody. Eilidh smiled and started moving, slowly, with her head raised up to meet Finn's eyes, a small smile playing on her lips. Finn placed his hand under chin. "I never thought I would have a dance with you."
The edges around her eyes crinkled as she let out a soft laugh, and placed her hand on the back of his neck. The beats of the song filled around them as they moved their feet according to the rhythm, the earphones dangling when the moved fast.
"This song is full of sexual innuendos," Eilidh said as she ran her through his hair. Finn winked at her. "That was the purpose of playing this song."
As the song neared its end, their bodies came closer to each other. When Ed Sheeran's Kiss Me started playing, Finn's gaze felt on her lips. They were close, and Finn caught the hint of the jasmine perfume which now, he would associate with Eilidh.
He glanced up to see Eilidh staring at him, with something new in her expression. It was a look of wonder, a look of recognition which excited Finn with a keen amount of fire within him. With his hand on her nape, he brought his mouth closer to her, and when she didn't repulse from his touch, he tilted his head and placed his lips on hers.
