It was flawless, as flawless as could be achieved. The Boss glared at the guard near the Survivor Tree, there were several others scattered around Ground Zero. The human guards were easy, kill them and it's over.

The Boss waved his hand and his invisible, oozy servants set about killing the Guards. They enjoyed watching the soul eek from the body as they consumed the flesh, one guard remained near the tree. He was on alert, radioing and screaming for backup.

He pointed the gun at the air above The Boss's head and pulled the trigger, the Boss didn't flinch.
A stooge that stood nearby gave the Boss an idea, the Boss grabbed the stooge and swiped a hand over his head, gathering gobs of blue slime in his palm.

Calmly, the Boss stalked up to the frantic guard. Who was still screaming into his radio, without blinking the Boss launched his hand into the guards mouth. He quickly drew it out, leaving the gelatinous mass in his mouth.

The guard was stunned, blinking repeatedly before spitting out the goo and pointing his rifle at the Boss.
The Boss grinned, watching the guard grow silent and pale as the toxin began to take effect.

"Easy there buddy, we gotta move you over there or you will taint the tree. " he grabbed his shoulders and steered him behind the bench that the Boss himself had just been sitting on.

"Who is talking, Roberts?!" The voice on the intercom yelped, the officer raised his rifle to his mouth. Shaking his head slowly, "Roberts!"

The Boss laughed, "why fight it? You will die eventually anyways. " he sneered at the officer, slipping his dry fingers into the officer's mouth.  Prying it open, and delicately slipping the barrel between Roberts' lips.

"Stage fright? I won't watch."

Shortly after the gun went off and the officer fell limp over the black marble bench a new character entered the scene, blindfolded and guided by more toadlike creatures with white clothes on.

A young boy.

The boy was given an ax and was instructed to chop the tree down. He was small enough to fit between the cage that surrounded the tree and the tree itself, he had never cut a tree before. He was only seven, and scared for his life.

"Remove his blindfold! Careful, do not touch him." The Boss barked, watching the boy swing back the ax and bring it down on the trunk with a thud.
"Faster, Boy!" He growled, getting the feeling more police would be there in moments.

The boy whimpered and muttered something in a different language, swinging again and again. As he finished chopping the tree down, he heaved on it, and it came crashing down onto a white sheet the goblins held up to cradle it. "Do not touch the tree or you will taint it!" He hissed, draping a white cloth over the tree and then sending the goblins off.

He turned around and the boy was already a block away, in the blink of an eye, the Boss was before him. The boy panicked inches away from colliding with the humanoid thing, he was certain he was a devil of some sort.

The boy swerved and ran another direction, but the Boss easily caught up to him. "Where do you think you're going?" He sneered, grabbing the boy by the arm and pinning him up against a very large flower pot.

A language the Boss was unfamiliar with came babbling out of his prisoner's mouth, and the boy began to cry.
"Pathetic. " the boss muttered, "I could cut out your tongue, if that would keep you quiet." The Boss growled.
