After the exams, everyone in the school went out onto the grounds because it was such a nice day. Anna and Kane knew everything and were done before anyone else and were almost sure they got it perfect, but instead of going outside, they went into the dark classroom. Since term was almost over, Quirrell was almost definitely going to steal the Stone in the next week.

They were playing a game of Exploding Snap when they heard footsteps in the corridor. They were so surprised that they jumped up and ran to the door. They cracked it open and could just see the back of Quirrell's turban before he closed the door. They heard loud barking that shook the ground, but then it went quiet and all they could hear was harp music. They snuck to the door leading to the trapdoor and pressed their ears on it. They heard loud snoring and something squeak open and slam shut.

"Oh my Godric!" She muttered. "He got into the door!"

"Well, what are you waiting for?" He opened the door and they walked in. There was a harp in the corner and the huge dog had it's eyes closed and was drooling. Slowly, they walked to the trapdoor and swung it open. They couldn't see anything inside it and it went straight down.

"Should we?"

"What are you talking about! We have to!"

"Um...okay. Wands out."

They pull their wands out and jump into the trapdoor. They fall for a moment until they land on something squishy. Panicking a moment, they thought they landed straight on Quirrell. They scrambled for a moment, but they couldn't move. They looked down and saw tight ropes tied to their arms and legs.

"What the—" he tried to move his arms but they just got tighter and more wrapped themselves around them. They realized that the ropes were all around them.

"What the heck! Diffindo!" The rope around his arm ripped but then another one immediately wrapped itself tighter.

"Don't be stupid! It's Devil's Snare! You have to relax!"

"Oh, yeah, that's going to be easy," he said sarcastically.

"Don't you listen at all in Herbology?!"

"Um, let me think, no."

"Well, you have to relax or else it'll just get tighter!" She was already getting to her feet, breaking the last Devil's Snare off her ankle. She stepped onto a ledge on the side where there was no plant.

"Don't just leave me!"

"Of course I'm not going to leave you, you idiot! Fine, you're obviously too stupid to relax, so, Lumos Solem!" Bright light came from her wand, as bright as sunlight, and the Devil's Snare immediately got loose. He got up.

"Thanks," he muttered.

"Yeah, you're welcome. I just saved your life."

"Okay, okay. Thank you so so so much, you are my idol, I shall forever repay you—"

"Okay, okay, calm yourself."

They kept walking until they got to a door. They heard flapping noises inside, like bats flying around. They opened it and swung it closed, not bothering to close it tight. When they looked up, they saw a whole flock of winged old fashioned keys.

"What is this..." he said as he walked across the room to the other door.

"Let's just... let's just keep going, we're wasting time." She got to the door and tried to open it. "Alohomora!" But the door still wouldn't open. "Honestly," she said. "Reducto!" But the curse bounced off and hit a wall, not even making a dent. "Dang it! That stupid Quirrell knows we're looking for him. When I find him I'm gonna strangle him, I'll kill him, I'll..." Kane wasn't listening, he was walking toward the broomstick on the floor. He looked up at the keys again and he understood.
