I know this isn't a Sonic game and it isn't even made by Sega but I want to give my opinion on the way Sonic plays and his stage.
I think Sonic plays really well and his moves can punish the hell out of you opponent.
I love Sonic's stage. It's so cool and has a lot of references to Sonic's history. Sometimes Live and Learn plays when your fighting and it's awesome. Also you can see characters from the Sonic Universe.
