Logan's pacing the floor of his messy bedroom all the while making sure he's got everything he needs for the first day back to school. He nervously opens his backpack again to look at it's contents.

Notebook. Check. Pencils. Check. Camera. Check. Schedule. Check.

Logan's gone through this routine a million times since the night before. He usually wasn't this shaky about school but he needed something to take his mind off of Blythe; the beautiful black haired, blue eyed girl he shared a kiss with at the bowling alley.

He maneuvered his way to the full length mirror hanging on the back of the door, having to kick several articles of clothing out of his path. Logan slicked back his skater boy haircut with his fingers; contemplating a different look. He pulled a face at the image in the mirror. Logan thought he looked ridiculous and vigorously shook his head so his hair would resume its natural state.

Logan swiftly grabbed his backpack, slung it over one shoulder and sprinted down the stairs.

"Loggie! Loggie!" his three year old sister jumped out in front of him at the bottom. He gently grabbed her head and moved around her. If it wasn't for his quick reflexes she would've gotten knocked over.

"No time right now Lila," Logan told the little girl, holding two barbie dolls in each hand. Her bottom lip jutted out and as much as he felt bad for her, Logan knew he needed to get to school, even if that meant facing Blythe.

"I will afterschool," Logan told Lila before gently placing a kiss on the top of her head.

Logan darted to the front door, snatching his skateboard up. "Logan, aren't you going to eat breakfast?" his mom's voice echoed through the house from the kitchen.

"Sorry ma!" he yelled and stepped out into the bitter September air. The door slammed shut behind him as he jumped on his board and started riding down the street.

Logan was about halfway to school when his buddy Corey appeared, riding his own board. "Hey, Logan, slow down you douche." Corey laughed as he pumped his leg harder.

"Screw off!" Logan laughed back. "I'm not slowing down for you."

"So hey man, what's up with you and Blythe?" Corey asked Logan once he caught up.

Shaking his head, Logan looked straight ahead of him. "I don't know," he chuckled. "It seems too good to be true."

"Aye, didn't you give her your digits?" Corey inquires with a slight British lilt.

"Mmm.. Yeah," and she hasn't called yet, Logan added mentally. This was one thing was causing his nerves to go haywire. "What classes do you have? We haven't talked about that yet." he quickly changed the subject. Logan didn't want to think about Blythe and what was to come of their relationship until the time came, that is if there was a relationship even there.

"I got history with Mr. Connell," Corey groaned.

"Sucks to be you then," Logan replied.

Corey and Logan continued small talk about school on their way there. Logan found his mind wandering back to Blythe's full lips on his. Soft, voluptuous and the perfect shade of pink. She wouldn't leave his mind even as he tried to force the thoughts away. Blythe was already driving him nuts.

Logan kicked his skateboard up once he reached the curb and caught it mid air; Corey following suit. They walked up the path leading inside and joined the other rowdy schoolmates. Logan pushed his way through groups lingering in the narrow hallways. He always wondered why they didn't go to their classes to talk instead of loitering in the halls. There were people who gave a crap about their education that were trying to maneuver them, it was hard enough without the groups hanging in large clumps.
